by XOCO inand it felt good "lowest sum of the earth" are we that evil because some of us decide to leave and choose a life that we want wheather it be with some goals and asperations or seeking another route of worship/non-worship, while still being alive on this earth today .

...why does "in all the world" need to mean every living individual? The gospel had reached every continent over a hundred and fifty years ago. The Jews had begun returning to their homeland with the signing of the Edict of Toleration in 1844 and the end of the "Gentile Times" (when the control of Jerusalem by non-Jews) has come. The three promises of Christ for the timing of His return could be said to already have been fulfilled... carmel

This was back in the late 50's. Every Witchtower had something bad to say about the Pope andthe catholic church. When I found out many "stories" were actual lies, I began to ask about other claims. Not the thing to do for a ten year old! carmel

What lengths did you go to, to not miss meetings?
by exwitless ini posted this in another thread, but i thought it would merit a thread.
the elders in our cong.
likened missing a memorial to an "unforgivable sin".

I, on the other hand, found any possible way to skip going to meetings. Got my fanny beat to a pulp many time for skipping out , but it never succeeded in motivating me to want to attend. carmel

The Brand New 2008 Looking For Love Thread
by Tired of the Hypocrisy inon another thread i read about someone being denied by eharmony and was wondering if there are any exjw dating sites.
i wish i knew of one, but thought since someone else mentioned some folks have made a connection here that it would be a good idea to have everyone that is interested raise their hand and say if they are looking for love in all the wrong places or just looking...... i hope this post is not out of line or off topic.. i guess i will start even tho i am married.
ok, anyone interested in chatting with a fat old married cowboy?.

time to consider that electric blanket my man! Glad to see you're getting the cold, we're getting drenched. I live on a steep hill on the north side of Astoria, so the bleedin ice is a real pain. Thinking of becoming a snow bird myself as the winter brings on the achy joints... carmel

The Tower ate many Baby Boomers
by Alex Delta ini do some thinking every once and a great while and had a little brain storm which to most of you is just a cloudy sky.
looking back into history i put one and two together and see that the baby boomers came to be after the 4 first false prophecies of the tower which were in 1914, 1915, 1925 and 1945. after all this jazz happens they have a huge fall out and change and twist their doctrine to set up their next sales pitch, and wouldn't you know it, who's there for the towers perfect meal, baby boomers, the tower chew's away and gets pretty full for they're plenty of them, those ingredient were perfect.
these people grew up with wars, tons of protest's, scandals you name it there was plenty of things happening to them, add a little this and a dash of that and that's what the tower loves to feed on the feared.

A lot of religion is motivated by fear, the JWs are experts at it. Unfortunately, the politics in America mimics religious convictions and world view, so 911 mania is simply a repeat of cold war fear mongering. As more information on JW hypocracy is available on the web fewer will be influenced by the fear of loosing everlasiting life, blah, blah, blah! carmel
