There are alot of people here who could slug it out on a board full of dubs. The fact is that there are some questions they just wont answer. Most of us here at jwd will answer any question we are faced with. Id like someone to try it sometime.

Excited about DC
by gringojj inmy wife is planning to go to the assembly this year.
shes still not sure about the whole jw thing, so from what i have read this dc should be helpful.
when she does go to meetings she just comes home and tells me all the crap they said that didnt make sense.

The whole godly obedience thing rally gets her going so when they start talking obey obey obey she will really pay attention lol. By the way I am going too and I will be taking notes.

What is it with the child analogies? The other day i heard the one about how a child doesnt know why they cant play in the street. So I guess we are like children to god they say we dont know why we cant do certain things. Lame.

I always felt this was a huge problem for the WTS. I asked a JW once about this and his reply was that they have found fossilized footprints of a t-rex and a mans foot next to it. Hence the two once walked side by side. Kind of funny but its pretty easy to picture an illustration in a wt or awake of a t-rex walking in the woods and a man walking next to him. Picture in the background a lake and some sort of cascading waterfall, lots of rich vegetation, and the man holding a staff and wearing not much more than some type of natural underwear(because surely men who walked with dinosaurs would cover up). In any case isnt it vital to WTS doctrine that they keep the creation days as 1 day equals a thousand years? Isnt the fact that they know we are in the last days have something to do with being 7000 years into mans existence? If they admitted the 6000 yr old earth crap was bull wouldnt that throw off thier calculations? Its pretty crazy to think about it because it so ridiculous but if dinosaurs were made with all other animals they would have only roamed the earth like 4 thousand years ago right? And we know there were so many types of dinosaurs why doesnt it talk about in the bible why god decided to kill all of them and not let them live after the flood? None of this crap makes sense. How can dubs defend this stuff to the end i dont know.
