  i just got home from a dub "party".

  it was very tame, seemed to be choreographed, and i was just shocked.. for one thing, everyone there was my age or older.

  these people are young adults.. yet, it felt like the jr. high dance.

  When it happens- You have an opportunity to let the public know about this cult! Have a very public party in your store. Or make it by special invitation in the evening, then you could serve wine or beer as it is a private party. You have a chance to warn your customers about this org. Maybe you could carry or leave out for the cof. drinkers a few copies of C of C or some other jw books. carla

  hello everyone, im in a bit of a dilema here, ive been dating a girl who is studying with the jws, not babtized yet, but wants to just as soon as she is ready to fully dedicate herself.

  anyhow ive tried reasoning with here concerning scripture only to have her say that she doesnt really now but will ask someone (elder).

  so in an attempt to discredit the wtbs i purchased some materials from watchmen on the false dates and doctrine reversals.

  Iv'e had this same problem! Even though they should have access to their own library to check these things! Even if you order off the net some actual copies of wt's they may say, they are fakes. Then you can offer to have the ink & paper tested against one from their own library and split the cost (very expensive). They then will accept even photocopies and/or actual copies you purchased as the real deal. When it comes down to it they just don't want to see, no matter how much you show them.   ok, i'm finally starting some dialogue with my brother, i've let him know that i have questions that no one can answer, and he says to send them over so he can either answer them or get answers, and that no question is disallowed or "apostate".

  he sent me an article (from 08.15.04 wt, thanks blondie!

  ) via e-mail, on which i pointed out one simple question on reply to him, which he has replied to.

  Could you ask him why the wt IS the 'faithful discreet slave'? and if it is, can we look at what Jesus looked at, at the time when He supposedly chose the WT? Shouldn't we at least be able to see what convinced Jesus that the wt would be His 'faithful & discreet slave'. Then maybe you could run through some of the 'old light' and ask him if that was being faithful or discreet. Have you read Don Cameron's book, 'Captives of a Concept'? Let us know how it goes, I need ideas for my loved one as well. Thanks, carla

  and its over "why moral restraint...not removed when 10 commandments passed away".

  so i think this is talking about why the people in the greek scriptures couldnt do their neighbors wife, or you couldnt kill your neighbor even though the 10 commandments wasnt there.
