As ex jw's are the only ones who understand at all what the heck is going on, this board has helped tremedously! he got dunked today. feeling despair. and the odd thing is, I feel comfort in knowing that someone out there knows just what this will mean in my life and the life of my children and family. Nobody else reallly knows. To now have a part time husband and father is almost more than I can bare. That's because his family used to mean the world to him. I know what life is supposed to be like and now it's all taken away. It will get worse, I know. And half of this shit sounds so insane, family & friends think I'm making this stuff up!!!!!!! Tell me, who the hell needs to make anything up about this org? it is so insane! just despair, carla

where is their evidence to support this when there are many accounts disproving their proclamation?.
fox's book of martyrs disputes the wt claims as does evidence of the roman 12th legion known as the 'thundering legion'.. .

Not only the above cases, but, what about when John the Baptist was baptizing? The soldiers clearly asked him, what should we do? His answer was to be content with their wages and not steal from anybody. The reason the very early Christians were not soldiers was because Rome was in fact persecuting Christians. Kind of hard to be a soldier when they want to kill you for your beliefs. There is nothing specifically stating that you cannot be a soldier. As the above instances show. carla

help my mother is brainwashing my 10 yr old
by squirlyboo inughhhhh, i left "the truth" when i was 16 i had my daughter when i was 18. while is was finishing college my mother watched my daughter for me , so they are very very close.
well whenever my daughter goes to visit usualy about a week at a time my mother takes her to the hall .
she fills her head with the doctrine and tells her that ill say bad things about it and scares her into not telling me about it .

the magazine was then called "the watchtower & herald of christ's presence" because the teaching of russell and rutherford at the time (and right up to 1943) was that christ had already returned - in 1874. so when he arrived and was knocking (luke 12:36) allegedly in 1914, they were not on the watch as they thought he had arrived decades earlier.
was the watchtower the only christian religion asleep and not watching for christ's return in 1914, or were there others?
