I just ordered a copy (note: it is a copy, an exact replica) I think I got it off of LuLu. It was under 9-10 dollars. The copyright ran out so they could reprint it.

House-to-house confusion
by robhic ini know i've seen both sides of the house-to-house argument.
of course, jws say it is approved in the bible while non-jws say it is the opposite.
but on reading in another topic i happened upon a quote implying paul wrote in favor of house-to-house preaching so i looked it up in the american standard version bible.. the ones i usually see that speak against going house-to-house are the following:.

I don't think it matters what the Bible teaches to them or not about the issue. If you show them it doesn't say you must go door to door their response is, "it doesn't say you can't" so apply that to birthday's for instance, the bible no where states you cannnot celebrate the anniversary of ones birth. At that they will promptly change the subject or say, 'see, you do as you wish and so will I'. Which makes no sense at all as there is no 'I' in the org.

treatment of jw's w/ubm's

on one hand they could hold them up as how wonderful they are for suffering such persecution but on the other hand wouldn't they be looked down upon because they couldn't even get their own spouse 'in'?
if you can't even get your own spouse to believe how well could you do in service?

by dougpotts incan someone explain fully the restrictions that a jw must accept when dating or trying to date a person not of the same faith - protestant.
can she still date.
is marriage permitted even though objected too by jw.

by Evanescence inmany people would say they are a cult, what are your reasons for thinking they are a cult?.

Have you done research into cults, mind control, thought reform, brainwashing, etc.. and what is the difference between all of them? This is a large subject and requires your own research. Lacking that, how could you read this board or any exjw board and not come to the conclusion that it is one of the most insidious cults on the face of this planet?

I forgot to add, if you don't mind an entire congregation knowing the intimate details of your life-- how would this occur you ask? like the Catholic faith that asks you to tell your sins to a Priest, jw's want you to 'confess' your sins to an elder, unlike the Catholic Priest who is bound by confidentiality, the elder blabs everything to his wife who in turn blabs everything to the other women in the cong. With all this blabbing going on only one conclusion can be made, you are of satan. Now go crawl in bed with a man who hangs around with people who think you are of satan and claims he doesn't believe any such nonsense, but secretly probably has some fears of such. Ask him if he looks foward to watching the birds eat out your eyeballs and then helping to dispose of your bones when the big A comes.

If you don't mind having a part time husband and father for your children, and don't mind a bunch of old men in Brooklyn controlling your husband's life as well as your own, and you don't mind these same men telling your husband how to make love to you, how much passion is appropriate in marriage, what kind of movies you can watch, books you can read or even have in the house, have every holiday spent alone or even if he comes he remains somewhat 'odd' because he is trying to decide if he should even be there or not (all sinful), to celebrate your birthday with anyone else but him (he won't even acknowledge it) to watch your children's heart be broken because dad is such a doofus (that's if he decides he won't try to make them be jw) to watch him watch news with morbid fascination and excitement that all this bad news means the 'end is near', if you don't mind him doing totally hypocritical things that you know could get him df'd but you say nothing because it was maybe some innocent thing that the rest of the world thinks is normal or even good for a childs mental development, hey I could go on all day, But if you don't mind these things I would say go for it. You two will be 'special' our love is 'different', every ubm (unbelieving mate) has said the same thing. It is one thing to knowingly go into this for yourself it is quite another to subject children to this life. I would suggest not having children for a very long time until you see exactly how life will be living with cult member.
