How would the elders really know? couldn't you just make up something that you didn't have blood? Of coure that would only work if no jw's worked there. Would an elder ask to actually see the files? In the US medical files are supposed to be very private. I know my underage child had to sign a consent for the ins. co. so I could sign for things or be otherwise informed. Even though the bill came to us, the parents. Now how they would collect $ without letting the parents know what any procedure was done I don't know. I guess you are responsible for them and would just have to pay.

What the doctor said about the JWs and blood
by MegaDude ini work as a court reporter and wrote a doctor's deposition this evening at a very large hospital in dallas, texas, who is working on a clinical trial involving a drug that jehovah's witnesses use to help stop bleeding.
he mentioned the jws twice as he is involved in three different clinical trials using this drug which is a strong coagulant.
during a recess i asked him if he worked with a lot of jws and he said, "oh, yes.

i called bethel RE: voting...
by in a new york bethel minute in.
still not a conscience matter... although for the countries that demand that everyone register and actually walk in the booth to cast a vote, a witness may, if his conscience allows, register and go into the booth and add a new box labelled "jesus christ", then checkmark that box and vote for him... hahaha cool eh?!!!.

The Watchtower's Unbalanced View of the Internet
by VM44 inin articles concerning the internet, some of which have been titled "a balanced view of the internet", the watchtower devotes the first paragraph or two to the benefits that the internet offers and has provided.
.
then for the rest of the article they go on and on about the dangers and evils of the internet.. they have been consistent in writing in this manner in all the articles they have written concerning the internet.. can the watchtower itself truly be said to have a "balanced" view of the internet?.

I have a thing coming up in which I am afraid it will turn into a dubby fest. I am so dreading it. Cannot get out of it no how, no way. It is a public venue.I only know a few faces from the hell. Any suggestions? Besides for a few cocktails or physically getting ill. (I will do both I think) He is rather looking forward to this. I am not. Once upon a time..... I too would have looked at this thing as a great event. Three days to go. I think most at the hell know how I feel, think that will make any difference? I actually own part of the property they will be in (well not own but rent, mine none the less for quite some time) geez, I feel like I need some garlic and crosses or something! Maybe some carved pumpkins will keep them away. And a flag too!

sometimes I buy Lucky Charms (or other previously banned cereal) just to see if he will eat them. Does that count. I do it only to check up on his 'demon' mode which I haven't really found too much of as yet! I don't think he knows about that one though.

Vitty,
I'm not saying it is totally unbearable. We still do things together. But see what CYP said above. There are now three people involved (or the whole cong, see many posts on the gossip problem) How anyone could read all the human wreckage stories, the wt's and thier views about anyone who doesn't follow along like sheep to a slaughter, the child abuse problems, the sexual abuse problems, the immoral activities that go on at the halls and tintillate the whole cong, the jc meetings, they hypocrisy, the suicides, etc..etc... and not be horrified that your spouse of many, many years has joined this evil cult, I just don't know! To me it is just pure evil. How can any intelligent person believe any of it?! that is rhetorical. You just can't believe how your spouse could join such an org.! It is so hard to understand when even the slightest bit of research will show the falseness of it. You watch on in horror as they suck the life out of your loved one. And relationships that are destroyed in the process don't even seem to bother the jw, they use God as an excuse to justify anything. Only they don't realize that it isn't God but a publishing company filled with evil people in New York out for the almighty buck$ they change personalities, that's what cults do.

My mom & I were talking this weekend and she said the only one who really loves you unconditionally is your mom. (remember I come from a nonjw family, didn't even know any) I thought how sad for so many jw's, as this statement is not true for them. Well, it doesn't seem true to me because so many jw mom's shun their own children.

Vitty,
I was just trying to figure out if you were still jw. I see by above answer is no. However how can you ask how it can get between a marriage after reading our responses? Or other responses from ubm's in the past? Maybe you can't understand the change that comes when one joins this cult,- mental, emotional, even facial, to actually see your spouses eyes glaze over is quite scary the first time, loss of memory, becoming apathetic, there is just so much I could fill a book. Like twinflame said, it's always there. It's like some horrible backround music that will never go away, somedays it is blaring, other days it is just backround.

oops! sorry jgnat! we kind of highjacked your thread! sorry. You know how it is, get talking to a ubm and you never know what will come out! Secrecy, somewhat a part of life now. Or should it be called halftruths? or omission? don't ask, don't tell?
