i have been reading all of the feed back for saddler and the others.

i too have been in a relationship with a jw for a little over a year.

i love her very much but all the abuse i have taken over the pass year from her elders, uncles, grandfather...etc has really taken it's toll on me.

Let's see;
Your pre-marital behavior will be scrutinized and punished if you misbehave and don't lie. This will follow you as it is recorded in her publisher records.

You will experience alternating bouts of attempts to convert you and utter alienation as a threat to your wife's spirituality.

There are rules as to what you can do in bed, didja know that? And the WTS™ are experts at laying down a guilt trip that will end up driving her to the elders™ to confess. Then you are branded a pervert.

They will intrude on every aspect of your lives. You will know no peace.

Hello, I'm new - does anyone else feel the same as me?

i was raised in the jw cult from birth until i left when i was 18(i am now 34).

i hated it from the beginning, but because my mom was so strict, there was nothing i could do about it.

(my dad didn't belong to the jws but i didn't get much sympathy or support from him - he didn't want to "rock the boat".

The experiences on here resonate very deeply with me. I remember thinking, 'So I wasn't alone,' over and over with each new post I read.

We were trapped in our isolation inside the bOrg, fearing to share our deepest thoughts as the WTS™ indoctrination drove home the thought of not sharing in someone else's "secret sin™". I would have gnawed off my arm just to know somebody else felt as miserable inside the bOrg as I did.

And to answer your question, yes, I sometimes feel the same.

from what i gather reading this site that makes me "worldly".

anyway, i am embarrassed to say we are both married and have children.

If she gets df'd, and i know it shouldn't be this way-but it all to often is, her kids end up as bad association in the congregation.

The friends they have will probably be swept away by overreacting parents to "protect" the other kids' spiritual progress. They will be stranded between lifelong friends who they can't play with anymore and the "worldly" children to whom they probably can't relate.

Good job...

Find somebody else with less baggage, but first do the honorable thing and come clean with your wife and make arrangements to move out and pay support to your family.

my boyfriend and i are gettin pretty serious.

before we met he was never in a committed relationship and believed marriage was just a piece of paper that helped during tax season.

then he meets me and suddenly i catch him online looking at rings.

My opinion is this;
Finish your education. Everything else is secondary until you can stand on your own. That includes boys.

Youths my a$$! He looks to be coming up on thirty and she's probably his wife, airbrushed to a lolita level appearance. After all the Society™ can't place two single horny kids in such a tempting and provocative situation.

no i haven't read the replies to my last post although i'm finding it hard to resist.. but let me just add some things.

there is no doubt that some of you 'apostates but you don't even know it' thought you have given some very clever respones.. just to clarify, i've had my share of the world and i'm glad i'm out of it, you however are hanging around on a jw site this is my first and last day of looking on here - and i'm only on here to wnd you lot up, .

how easy was it really - i'm off sick, how many of you just haven't got anything better to do.

While I have some resentment about turning over the best years of my life to something which only led to disappointment, I am not bitter. In fact, after reading what some of my brothers and sisters went through, I consider myself extremely lucky to get out without much scarring at all.
