  Here is what the difference is. If I bought a painting and hung it in my house, I could do whatever I wanted with it. I COULD paint a mustache on my copy of the Mona Lisa.   Precious Moment

  my daughter is visiting for father's day and she gave me a gift and hugged me for about a minute and told me how much she loved me and how good i had been to her, she was crying.

  i became her dad when i married her mom, her paternal dad had died a few years before this.

  she was about 6 years old then.

  i've been gone from the "truth" for 9 years this month.

  i have very little contact with my witness family.

  every year around this time i get a letter from my grandparents.

  I believe you should re-think Avishai's suggestion. Ignoring your family's attempts to make you feel guilty is one thing. But showing them that you are moving on and happy and willing to keep your relationship alive, will show that you are the bigger man. Whatever you do and whatever happens, you are well on your way to a free and happy life.

  i publicly said the pledge of allegiance with my right hand over my heart.

  the irony of it all is it happened during vacation bible school this week in my church's sanctuary.

  it felt good.

  I too remember the day I registered and the first time I actually voted. And the first time I stood up, took off my hat and sang the National Anthem. It was great to feel so normal among all those people.

  This really pisses me off when I think back on it. I threw out all my Blue Oyster Cult albums...there's some irony for you.
  
  
  And because some idiot elder saw the jacket for John Fogerty's "Eye Of The Zombie"...tossed. I should make him buy me the CD
  
  And get this: The very first album I bought with my own money was Neil Diamond's "Hot August Night". An elder's wife insisted that I get rid of it because of the picture on the cover. Neil F*cking Diamond!!!!!
