Limping on two opinions - mine and theirs!
by atypical ini have been lurking at these sites for a while and have finally decided to post.
forgive me for not wanting to give any clues as to my identity, but i am still struggling as a fence-sitter - knowing how i feel but not wanting to be cut off from my family and friends.
so my meeting attendance is sporadic; when i go to the meetings i am told "i'm worried about you" or "where have you been, your wife has been coming by herself".

Whats the worst dish you ever served???
by Tez ini am a reasonable cook when i can be bothered (as paulj will hopefully confirm) but often resort to quick and easy methods, packet mixes, tins etc.. whereas my parner is a brilliant cook!!
leave him in the kitchen for a little while and he produces something from scratch that is delicious.
so today i decided to extend my culinary skills!

Yum, your description of the chilli con carne sounds delicious, until you added the coffee ofcourse.
Worst dish I've served is probably one of those stir fry things you buy at the supermarket, they taste like cardboard.

UK "shoot to kill" - mixed up justice
by Simon inhow stupid is this .... the police execute an innocent man going about his lawful business ... no charges.
someone exposes the information showing the police lied and covered up facts about the killing ... arrest her !!.
what a pathetic excuse for a justice system we have.. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4280238.stm.

The problem with people is that they expect the police to be superhuman, for every decision they make to be the correct one, what if Menezes had been a terrorist and they had chose not to shoot, then he had blown himself and a train full of people up, you'd all be condemning the police for not taking action, they can't win.

Self Pity and other worthless emotions.
by Big Dog ini never saw a wild thing sorry for itself.
a small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself.
d.h. lawrence.

Self pity is useless yes but guilt sometimes can have an advantage, guilt can cause you to put something right, jealousy is another useless one in my opinion.

I don't believe any of us know all the facts of what happened and so its really not worth getting heated about.

Your gut feeling.
by kwintestal indo you follow it, or ignore it?
what experiences do you have following, or not following it?.
every now and then, someone posts something that exposes their gut reaction to something, which could be completely opposite to a position previously taken, or taken immediately after posting it.

Ellie
I always go with my gut feeling, I very rarely sit back and ponder something, maybe I should.
