  i myself have two tattoos ( i will post pics of them later tonight).

  i have one on my shoulder - it the face of a cat, i call it my egyptian cat because the face is very concise.

  Gasp! My dad stepped inside church

  i went to my non jw nephews wedding very recently which was held in a church and imagine my surprise when i saw my jw dad standing in a side aisle waving to me.

  i had to pinch myself.

  needless to say he didn't remain indoors for the ceremony but i didn't think even walking into a church was allowed.

  Am I the only one here from Perth WA?

  i am just getting the courage to post again after being offline for some time.

  since i last posted there has been a lot of activity with newbies joining at quite an astounding pace so i find it amazing that there seems to be no newbies from western australia.

  perth is said to be the most isolated capital city in the world and it sure feels like it at the moment.

  hi all,.

  maybe this is a local phenomenon, but does it aver occur to you that jws whose mate dies often remarry in what society in general regards as an ``unseemly'' short time after the death of their spouses?

  i guess the most prominent example of this is audrey knorr, who tied the knot a second time not long after ``pappy'' knorr was interred in 1977.. just wondering.

  Mindfield - What is god - Jan 13

  i was just going back through some of the older recent material to see what i may have missed and i came across this question - what is god?.

  better late than never i suppose.. i no longer believe in god as a seperate entity but believe in a life force that is within each of us and everything else on this planet and also the planet itself.. that got me to thinking about the origin of life also as he is said to have created us but as i dont believe in him where did we come from.. in my search i came across this site - http://www.spiritweb.org - which has a section on channellings.

  the channellers name is john payne and if you scroll thru his stuff to his seminar called manifesting with joy (you'll need real player) and have a listen to the thing, then to the question time at the end it is quite interesting and thought provoking.

  Support group

  i would like to form a support group for those ex jw's that live in perth western australia.

  we all of us have a story to tell about what life was like on the "inside" for us and for some it was harder to get out than others.. i dont necessarily want everyone to tell their story as some find it very hard, but for myself, going it alone without just knowing someone who had been there was the hardest.

  i dont want a very formal atmosphere, but it would be nice to be able to get together with like minded others for coffee and a chat.
