I thought we discussed this thread a month or two ago.......anyhow
I shy from labels as they come and go like any fashion.
Thankfully, most people I meet are so wrapped up in their own story that I rarely speak of my personal beliefs. That is the down side of living in a new age centre! ha ha
I too challenged my fears post jws. Even recently, I had very provoking lessons taught by and about fear. What gives me solice and power is nature. The rythym of seasons, animal behaviour and the exceptance by animals of us if we tread gently and with wisdom.
God(s)? I still have trouble with literal beings. Symbolic gods? Yes. If I dance, I envisage Nataraj the dancing Shiva.
Needing power? Hanuman the brave and loyal monkey god.
My personal mantra is...to be truly human is to be personally responsible, which could go back to some teachings of christ.(not jws!) Actually, while travelling recently I got this powerful realisation that buddhism and hinduism are quite selfish beliefs. Kinda like bubbles flowing down a river all separate. That christianity at least in its true form is about doing loving acts for others. I saw it in action in tsunami areas.
Love to me is the great unknown. That is why I do enjoy hanging out with pagans, as they are willing to experience all. Good people mostly.
