Have I misinterpreted the word "free", or does Amazon charge extra for outside the US?
i was thinking about the next scenario:.
the united states (and western world) are losing influence compared to china, india and other new economy's.. with this decline of influence, the watchtower society, a true american religion and it's subsidiary's corporations are losing profits and losing it's base in much country's under china / india / indonesia / brazil influence.
what i see is that the watchtower society is selling it's main assets: landmark buildings in optimal condition.

I don't follow your logic here. JWs have considered most of the '144,000' to have been dead (or, rather, 'floating around in heaven') for a long, long time. And beyond that, the other self-proclaimed 'anointed' (i.e. the non-GB 'silent partners' who purportedly formed the majority of the 'faithful slave') were never going to get a cent from the Watch Tower Society if/when they decide to close shop anyway.

None of the stories about Jesus suggest that the character ever shunned anyone, though he was a bit of a prick to the poor Phoenician woman.
the witnesses say the apostacy took place after the last of the apostles died off , the name jehovah was invented by a catholic monk in the 13th century and because of its popularity among christendom (apostates ) it became acceptable.
and they have adopted it ?.

Aren't there like 6 million JWs worldwide? That's like 7.5 magazines/JW. One for them and 6.5 to try to give away. I'm sure most of them either aren't given away or end up in the dumpster immediately after being given away.
Sort of. Except it's more like an average of 7.5 magainzes per active JW, which includes 1 personal copy, and a copy each for their 1-1.5 children (average number of children per parent). That leaves about 5 copies per active publisher left to give away, including those given to inactive JWs.

It's misleading to say The Watchtower and Awake! are the "most popular". In the case of the other 8 magazines in the list, people willingly acquire those, in exchange for money. On the other hand, the JW magazines are pushed by JWs onto people, many of whom just take the magazines to be polite (though in most cases, they can't even give them away). Many copies are for JWs and their children, and many others end up in piles of unplaced literature in the homes of JWs before eventually making the trip to landfill. (Why recycle when God can magically fix everything anyway?)
in the united states i gather that copyright lasts for the lifetime of the author plus 70 years.
if copyright only lasts for 70 years from publication of anonymous works, then copyright for the nwt of the christian greek scriptures would be due to run out in a few years.
watchtower leaders probably don't like the idea of others being able to publish hard copies or circulate the nwt in ebook format.

No. The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures was published in 1961. Someone could copy the 'Greek' part of the text citing it as the older New World Translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures, but they couldn't copy the entire NWT (HS) as a single volume, nor could they copy the entire revision of the Greek Scriptures from that volume, without infringing copyright.
It's also not clear how releasing a new NWT (which probably wouldn't be substantially different from the old one anyway) would be of any advantage in regard to the copyright of the old version lapsing, as anyone could still copy the old volume anyway.
i know their have been screenings of this movie before , but this notice is for any newbies here that may not have seen it previously.
it is scheduled to screen at 10:25 pm on ch.32 sbs2 sun.25/8/13 .
maybe other states in australia can view it on-line , or request it be shown by sbs in their state.. it is an interesting movie , and apart from minor flaws , pretty accurate despite the beard,though i am told the danes are a bit more liberal than the west.. the real / actual jehovahs witness this story is based on has a cameo appearance near the end of this movie in the train sequence.. please let me know if you watch it and your thoughts about it .. smiddy.

Strictly speaking, Finland is not one of the Scandinavian monarchies. It is part of Fenno-Scandinavia, and it is Nordic, but it's not Scandinavian.
if you believe what is officially stated on the jw website, jws are not creationists.

the fact that the exact jw belief is in fact specifically called "day-age creationism" seems to have alluded them.

It's been a few decades since they've explicitly said that the creative 'days' were all exactly 7000 years each. However, the Watch Tower Society has never said the creative days were longer than thousands of years. Though they allow for an unspecified length of time between the beginning of the universe and the creation of Earth, they've never said the subsequent 'creative days' were each millions or billions of years - only ever thousands.
