Dealing With Smelly People

i can never understand why some people simply stink.they don’t smell themselves??

i knew of certain jws that had to be counseled many times because they refused to regularly bathe, wash their hair or use deodorant.

and it’s not just witnesses.

hahahahaha -- it's sad. A bar of soap/deodorant goes a long way and is inexpensive. Hygiene before one steps outside is usually habit performed before layering body garments/clothes on. One time at a 2 day Assembly (local whatever) we were stuck sitting in the back of auditorium and the perfume and stench (not a good mix) was so abominable it was nauseating. We went to lobby until ushers found other seats -- I've never been around anything that bad. Yes - at the halls, also - but not as bad as the one event.

WT cult should teach hygiene 101.

They are trying to look polished and professional -- wonder where Jesus bought his uni! The JWs in modern countries have no idea the cult freedom they have. WT must not appreciate the JWs attire and prefer a certain image out in public. I doubt the real estate business provides the uniforms so the worshippers must have to purchase them to be spiritual/in good standing to spread the good news. Doubt the cult provides or gives discounts. The gals handing out real estate (land sales) literature on the strip can wear short shorts and sandals -- at least the sandals are Christ-like and they're one up.

Good moral compass, Tameria. Boundaries/assertiveness with schmucks who take their chances are everywhere. Some good men who are ethical you can be acquaintances with in safe arenas. Halls were scary as females don't have their guard up as much as in the world - some very upright elders for the most part in that respect. Delusional losers in every corner of life for both sexes.

Some 'days of our lives' stories here - I recall a couple of elders' wives telling me they didn't trust a particular sister around their husbands. I laughed (didn't say anything) but from what this particular, older, sister, had told me she was into much younger bros. few yrs. out of high school and friends of her son. She told me they'd flirt with and go out of there way to talk, stand a little too close to her and always dropping by the house -- unreal and she'd mentally get involved with them. I told her time to see psychiatrist and these young bucks were just being nice and flirting back -- practicing on her and bored. The elders' wives telling me they didn't trust her were much younger than she, also, but probably right. Another married, pioneer, sister, was quite sad and in blue funk one day telling me about this young, single, dude's engagement. I wouldn't have thought much about it but she'd mentioned few mos previously one's weakness might be younger men and I thought how strange - why make a point of that but her husband was much older and my radar sensed she was unhappy. At the time the term 'Cougar' wasn't in vogue/lolol. We could make quite a soap opera.

i attended my grandfathers jw funeral the other day.

firstly i am a rabid apostate, and certainly not wt greatest fan.

that been said however, i will certainly stick up for them when they do the right thing.

What happens to Bethelites?

so if someone puts their life into serving the cult for free at bethel, then say after 25 or 30 years they are not able to for one reason or another such as illness, or family issue or old age, does the cult have any safety net for these people or is it you serve until you can't and when you can't you just go away?

Yeah -- they've no clergy class alright. It's one heck of a pecking order inside those bunkers. I told one elder's kids (loved them -- good kids in college and treated differently because of it) they were part of the clergy class and they were rolling - couldn't deny it. There were some criminal kids -- papas were elders but I didn't blame the kiddos but the loser parents and the cult.

I understand your reasoning, The Bethelite. What concerns me about cult service is the brain washing (psychological control) and parents holding their children hostage to the cult re/their approval/conditional love, etc. It's part of the pecking order and do-gooders hierarchy. Most children will do anything for their breeders' admiration/love. I've noticed this with Morman and JW members trying to elevate themselves in their status/rank -- it's an echelon thang. That's my position -- other than that I think X-Bethelites should jump a bus and roll up their sleeves -- do whatever it takes to feed themselves like anyone else -- they aren't entitled. The elderly/ill are obviously facing different circumstances but I'm sure the halls help them out. The halls I was at went the extra mile for the younger x-Bethelites.

Russian raid on 50 Jehovahs witnesses

there has been a raid on a large jehovahs witness gathering in norilsk, above the arctic circle, according to the moscow times.. a building with 50 jws inside was surrounded by masked, armed special forces forces who burst into the building and demanded they surrender all electronic devices.. i'll link the article but it's obviously going to drive these witnesses deeper into the religion.

We should flood the GB parasites w/messages to get over there (they have good booze in land of see-thrus, i.e., Vodka, so they'd survive) and help these poor JWs. Where's the WT legal team and to what extent is WT responsible. Needs to be TV coverage on this. I'm sure the 8? imbibing losers are quite concerned (what a joke)! They've no regard for law and justice and need to be held accountable.

Putin must have warehouses of JW letters for a paper recycling factory -- I'm sure this is the extent of WT's efforts on behalf of these poor JWs but are concerned and defending their asset/property losses. Apostates' letters would have a better chance with Russian despot revealing truth of the perpetrators they need to go after. Poor innocent cult vics!

Who knew that Halloween could be so much fun!

today is my first time celebrating halloween.

and it is just plain fun!

each new thing, birthdays, halloween, next thanksgiving and xmas are all proof that we were held back and restricted from enjoying life.. .

So happy you're enjoying the real life -- it's wonderful -- all the cute candy and costumes. One of my best memories was trick or treating (primary school yrs) in the city with childhood friends -- a couple still in my life to this day. We'd receive so much candy and had a blast both on 'gate nite' and Halloween nite. Many businesses/restaurants/malls offer safe events/celebration parties for children.
