Now that you are out, do you have a WANDERING EYE?
by zagor inafter many years of repression do you now find hard to restrain you natural feelings?
it doesnt have to be wrong as one cousin told me, you admire beauty of the sunset, the song of birds; you appreciate exotic meal and equally you can now more appreciate the natural beauty of opposite sex.
reason why im asking is because today ive met a dub from my former congdubgration who immediately assumed i was "immoral".

"And war broke out in heaven" - Why and how?
by truthseeker ini don't know if anyone has brought up the subject of "the war in heaven" before, but i have a few questions.
maybe leolaia could help out with this one.
revelation 12 talks about a war in heaven - now this is not just any war.

What gets me is why earth had to be the demons final destination. I mean, why? God knew what would happen were we to have aliens on this planet, invisible, dangerous and predatory. Why not send them to Mars, or Saturn or another galaxy?
Well this was to stack the deck so to speak - I mean HE had to prove man couldn't make it on his one with HIM.
Why? pride I guess - you no one of those things we are not supposed to have, "if I say you are going to fail you ignorant little humans you are freaking going to fail even if if i have to throw satan down there to make it happen.
And repeat after me "God loved us so much that he sent.... SATAN and his horde of demons" Loving dude isn't he, just as well he doesn't hate us. make me shudder what he might do - cook us in hell or wipe out 99.9% of us at armagedon. Hang on fry or dies is what we are ment to beleive he will do!

What is you (or somebodies) best blooper in the KH?
by DannyBloem infor example: we had a 'faithfull' brother getting older and confused.
when something did not really went as he liked it (didn't get the answer etc) he shouted very loudly 'god doom me in the hell!
one time i had to do the closing prayer on the midweek meeting.

Not a booper - it was delberate. It was the 80's - I did my part on the ministry school wearing white shoes, blue green pants, and a white miami vice styled shirt, AND had a beard. They suggested next time i may have time to dress before the meeting.
had the beard for a couple of years though - didn't make MS till I shaved it off. It showed a rebellous spirit. if only they could see me now!

Fear of God
by Satanus inthe beginning of wisdom?
or, a sign of ignorance?.
first of all, the standard christian and jw definition changes the meaning of fear to respect, like a person respects the power of gravity.

JW's talk about love of Jehovah, but at the end of the days it's all about "fear" coz he can swot you like a bug, and apprently at Armagedon intended to do that unless you have put in 10 hours that month, been baptised as a JW, havn't thought about Sister smith with desire, havn't logged into the WWW and checked out jwfacts.com, or 100 other things, you prabably will be saved.

Will the W.T. teach my daughter that it is okay to lie to worldly people?
by hubert inmy daughter never liked to lie, and always tried very hard not to.
in fact, she really hates anything to do with lying.. so, i'm wondering if when she gets baptized, will she be told by the elders that it's okay to lie to worldly nonbelievers for any particular reasons?
i think this would make her start thinking that something is wrong with this picture.. what do you think?.

Hi Richie
I started to type and the screen went back to the main posting page, I went back in and lo I had been fruitful - 2 empty posts. Perhaps there is a ghost in my machine - I'm certain it's not the holy spirit.
Anyway - yes - i want to get rid of the newbie tag - but not that way.

Check out http://www.jwfacts.com There are some things there that may open her eyes - and if she hasn't been baptised yet get in quick. I don't know that the rank and files JW's would know that they were lying, they are educated to accept everything the organisation says without question, to question is an expolsion offence.

Apostasy - A Racist Movement?
by slimboyfat infirpo carr argues that while many white apostates claim to highlight so-called 'racist' remarks and terminology in the watchtower literature, most such apostates are in fact white and have little real interest in black issues.
they are only interested in the issue in so far as they can use it to promote white anti-witness propaganda, whereas a high percentage of loyal witnesses are black.
i know that all the terms of my topic are debatable: apostacy is a witness term of derogation; apostates probably are mostly liberal and not racist (essentially); and they are not a 'movement' in any case.

Firpo Carr argues
Who the hell is Firpo Carr and why should we give a toss.
Your could argue the JW use of the term "apostate" is a derogertory term used by JW's to descriminate anyone who has left the JW's and doesn't agree with them. In many countries it's illegal to discriminate on the basis of religion isn't it?

just created a site www.jwfacts.com
by jwfacts ini just put together a site that tries to logically show the witnesses are not the true religion.
just wondering how to get the information out to people that most need it.
also any ideas on how to get the site found by search engines.

Hi Excellent resource - however I can't see all of the pages [the last lines doesn't show]. I'd love to print some of these out and leave with my Dad next time time he gets all emotional over why I'm no longer a practicing JW. I too had great difficulty with a god that would be so apparently unfair as to distroy so many.
