The other day a friend of mine mentioned that he sleep with a woman he met that night at a bar and I joking stated, "as long as their are woman of low moral character, you will always have a date." Then I realized, "oh man, it's the Witness thinking again." Not that I didn't think I was right though.

You know, were all still a percentage Jehovah's Witness. Like it, or not!
by free2beme ini know a lot of people we say, i am 100% out, and speak of all the things they disagree with.
yet i don't think that is the case, we are what the accumulation of our days have brought us too and no matter how hard you try, i know you all have witness in you.
it might be as simple as a thought when we do something normal, with some stray conscience struggle with doing something we were told was wrong for so many years.

It might be as simple as a thought when we do something normal, with some stray conscience struggle with doing something we were told was wrong for so many years. It might be that scripture popping into your mind when some Christian friend of yours says something so ignorant to the Bible that you almost want to strap on the gloves and go at it again. It might even be something as odd as sitting at a wedding in a church and forgetting to say "Amen" at the end of their church prayer, as we were told never to do that for people that prayed as non-Witnesses. Heck, I have done so many of those things and I still do. I was a Witnesses for 27 years and no matter what I am doing or what I am talking about, there are sparks of that life still firing off from time to time. You can't tell me with an honest face that hearing about the Bird Flu or about major disasters, doesn't cause some split second of Witness thinking. I have been out long enough, to be very honest with myself and I don't deny any of these things. So I admit it, I am still a percentage Jehovah's Witness. Oh well! How about you, are you convinced your 100% free?

Ghost, Spirits and the Dead
by free2beme ini always had a hard time as a witness, accepting their view on death.
i actually think they offer a sad view on death that leaves an empty and depressing view for those left behind.
i remember the comments, "they are asleep now," all so well.

I kind of read over all the comments and just had a couple I wanted to respond too. In the comment, "do animals have spirits." I believe that life has a energy or electrical field to it, so to speak. It is referred to in the five elements as Spirit. This Spirit is what connects life. In eastern religion, it is a concept of Chi. In all, it is a energy that is in all and more personalized in the individual being of our own personality. When we die, we do not loss that and for the most part we rejoin the great energy or Spirit or come in balance with all universal energy. So an animal, a tree or anything with life has Spirit, and when they die, their Spirit rejoins the universe. I do believe that we choose our Spirit guides before we enter this physical world, and they help us to achieve the goals we set out for ourselves. I feel that in past lives we may too, have been Spirit guides for others. Now, is their proof, depends on how open minded we are. I have found that to the closed minded, there is never proof of anything. For me, when I finally came in line with this thinking, it was compared to tuning into what I always knew, but never heard or read before. It was really a very enlightening experience to finally have someone say what I was thinking, and I do believe that Spirit has a female and male personality as it is a combination of both. In Wicca it is referred to as Goddess and Gods. Where to they fit in? Maybe I will mention that later. Above all though, I have learned that death beliefs are very personal and often upsetting, as it is the one certainty in life we know will happen to us, we are all going to die.

I always had a hard time as a Witness, accepting their view on death. I actually think they offer a sad view on death that leaves an empty and depressing view for those left behind. I remember the comments, "they are asleep now," all so well. Yet that never really fit, as people sleeping are alive and dreaming and their idea was really summed up in, "they are nothing now and know nothing now." Which would have been a little harder to swallow for those people mourning. I personally have had experiences with spirits, in which I saw things I could not discount as demons. My spouse was with me and saw it to, and we have experienced it more then once, and frankly I was not asking for the experience at the time and was not dwelling on the desire at the time, it just happened. So I believe their is more to death, then that "their sleeping" past.
My actual belief in death is that we leave the physical body and rejoin spiritual energy and some do have a hard time crossing. Maybe they died in a violent way, had serious regrets left behind, or they belonged to a religion that told them the what happened at their death would not happen and they sit for a time in denial or trying to get messages to those left behind to not make their same mistake. Yet, it is frustrating as those left behind are trained to ignore them and their signs, and if they did notice something they would think "demons." I believe that in time some of the energies that were relatives connect with those left behind again, to offer comfort or to see a momentous event in their life or maybe even greet them at their own death. For the most part, I think they stay away from the physical and move on for the most part. In time, I think those energies move to other levels of existence and some return to live another life. I know my belief system is not new and very eastern religion and pagan, but in all honesty, it makes more sense then saying they are all nothing and dead and on some computer chip in God's laptop computer, waiting to be rebooted.
What do you think, are their ghost, spirits or are they all just dirt?

Are you honest with yourself, about how much time you spend online?
by free2beme ini was filling out a form to register a product this week and one of the questions asked, "how much time do you spend online?
" as much as i wanted to say, "about an hour every two weeks," i know it is more.
i don't spend nearly as much time as i used too, and actually go several days without even turning on a computer.

There were times in my life that I actually spent more time online then in life. I admit that, and see how easy it is to do and prevent myself from going that deep again. I enjoy being online though.

Prayer??? Real or just something we fool ourselves with!
by free2beme ini was thinking about this today and i found a interesting thought in my mind that i thought would be worth considering here.
i should start off by saying that i do not think prayers to god are answered, as it is like making a call to a wrong number.
however, i do think you can fool yourself into thinking they are, in the following way.. let's say you pray over and over asking for this and that and that.

God is more powerful than the enemy, so no matter what Satan hears, I am safe. I've been saved and it cannot be taken away from me. So what harm is Satan going to do? If God's will be done, Satan isn't going to get in the way of anything.
I used to think this and then I wondered, "if God was so powerful, why did he allow his enemies to toy with his people so much?" Personally, I think God and Satan are like football players on the much larger picture that is the Universe and just like in football, sometimes they score and sometimes they have penalties and we are their referees. As they really do not control our life, as much as we control our own. Yet, some of just are such big fans of the game, that it would seem they do. -

When I do come online though, I have some games I play and message boards I like to read that do take time. What I was wondering though, are you honest about how much time you spend online or do you try to convince yourself that it is only a minute or two here and there? I wonder why we try to hide our online usage. Do we feel guilty or do we worry we will look pathetic? Anyway, how much time do you spend online ... honestly?
