800+ Pages in 6 days New Harry Potter Book

yep i bought the book midnight friday night started it saturday and finished thursday before midnight.
i of course didn't read night and day, but i loved the book very well done and even 800 pages wasn't enough.

It took me 5 days to read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - 2 of which I didn't read at all because I was sick - I am a fast reader. I had to share the book with my husband and our son too... My son is not finished yet. I have started to read it again. The first time around I read very fast, just to know what would happen, now I can savor the details.... We got the book at midnight on Friday night too

Rayzorblade has gone to the BIRDS!!
by RAYZORBLADE inwell...as some of you already know, i have a pet bird (parakeet).
i adopted her several months ago from the toronto humane society.
she's come a long long ways since when i first got her.. when i first got her, she was terrified of people.. 3 months later, she now hops up on my finger, and will allow me to scratch her head and neck.

Rayzorblade, this is so nice of you. Poor little bird... People used to give me unwanted or found bunnies, because they knew I had space for them. A lady once brought me a little white duck she found... Not long ago, in early April I believe, I found a full grown goose by the side of the road, on a snow bank. I captured her and brought her home ... she loves it here. She is beautiful. She was probably abandoned by the former owners. People buy chicks and ducklings in May and want to make space for the cuties and don't want the full grown birds anymore.... House owners who happen to have ponds find flocks of full grown peking ducks wandering in their yard suddenly.... also abandoned by the former owners....

Will The Pope Just Die Already!
by xjw_b12 inin the newspaper today there was an article on pope john paul's visit to crotia.
this is his 100th pilramage, in his 83rd year.
in 2 weeks he is scheduled to go to bosnia, where i doubt he'll get as warm as a reception as he did in croatia.

I love this Pope. Have you seen pictures of him around children? You can see that he really love them - and pictures of teenagers that he visited in a school - I forgot where it was, but he went through the classroom and just touched the top of the head of some teenage girl, as a blessing, I suppose - the girl was ecstatic. I love him.

Why isn't it written "Bible" on the JW bible?
by JH ina few years back, a person who didn't like jw's too much asked me why the word bible wasn't written on the front cover of our bible.
i told him that it was written holy scriptures and it meant the same thing.
on my french jw bible, it is written "les saintes ecritures" which means holy scriptures.

The JW leadership has tried very hard over the years to be different than the rest of Christianity, particularly the Catholic Church. That's why they decided that Jesus was not killed on a cross but a stake, decided that birthday celebrations were a no-no, even the birth of Christ.... etc.

Ah yes, size does matter around here.... I am a short french woman, 5'2", or 1m54 and weigh 105 to 110 Lbs, depending on the time of the year
My BIL family here in the US has from my first day here to this day made deragoratory comments about my height - first I laughed with them, now I am really tired of it - Size was never an issue in France - people of my generation were not very tall -
