After the movie "Pride & Prejudice" came out, I wanted to read or re-read the book by Jane Austen. I think I read it ages ago. I couldn't find it in any of the stores around here, but I found "Sense & Sensibility" and read it --- then I was hooked --- I got "Emma" and read it --- I got "Northanger Abbey" and finally "Pride and Prejudice" , which I just finished reading for the second time in a row.... Just wonderful stories, and a great writer. There's one more by Jane Austen I need to get.... Hmmmm... what's the title ?

I'm sitting here trying to work out why it works ...aha! Found the part that causes the mind flip: Now add 20. Now add another 1000...
Aaargh.... I can't figure it out ! How come the total is not the same when I count it in my head in the order given ?
1000 + 40 = 1040 1040 + 1000 = 2040 2040 + 30 = 2070 2070 + 1000 = 3070
3070 + 20 = 3090 3090 + 1000 = 4090 4090 + 10 =..... ... aaaah, yes, now I see..... ooops !

Happy Freaking mother's day to me...when your mom is crazy as a loon.
by Fleur inthose who have known me for any length of time through these forums know that my mom is, at best, unique, and at worse, totally freaking nuts.
i went to see her yesterday, specifically.
i didn't want to, i am honest enough to admit that.

In the meantime, I told my husband, if I ever start hearing voices, or claiming malevolent spirit forces in my daily life...get me to a psych ward for a 3 day eval whether I want to go...or not.
Maybe that's what you and your dad need to do with your mom to help her. She may only need some medication. -
