As LongHairedGirl says: Bitter and vengeful some JW's see X'JW's....which with me is quite the opposite. I was bitter and vengeful living under this most depressing cult.....now, I am free, happy, have found the TRUE Jesus and though life of course is not perfect....it is the exact opposite now that I am my own person, have my own mind.....and when I see JW's I knew, in public....I am happy as a lark!! Keep Smiling

13-yr old girl writes: example of Witnesses lying
by Dogpatch ini get emails like this all the time.
some jw gets upset at the stuff on my site, and wanting to add more weight/shock value to what they say, they either mention in passing that they are "not one of jehovah's witnesses" or are a child.
this one claims to be a 13-yr old girl!

What happened to you, to not to "feel the love" from the "friends"?
by swirlgirl inthinking back at the start of me questioning that perhaps the "friends" were not really true friends at all, were some experiences i will relate below: please share those that you have experienced.. after i had carpel tunnel surgery and was in a cast.....not one of the "friends" asked me about it?
at first i thought they wanted to be "polite" and not draw attention to the fact of the cast...but thinking more about it afterwards...it was just plain unloving and uncaring.
while i was still in the cast....the cong.

I remembered some more: I always liked to wear alot of bracelets and wore then to the KH...I gave a talk...and after a "sister" commented that "in some countries., please would cut your hand off for those bracelets!?" I was flabbergasted...how horrible to think of such a thing, much less make a comment on it~!
When I was DF'ed (I was re-instated in 2000, then DA'ed myself in 2004) the presiding elder made the comment to me at my hearing "you have wickedness in your heart".....within the month he was DF'ed for adultery...married, had lovely sweet wife and two well behaved young boy and girl....with a "sister" in our same hall, whom husband had just been made an MS. He was a "newbie" having married her and not being a JW. His children from a prior marriage were just starting to get interested in coming to the hall with them when he had visititation weekends.. Needless to say, that put an end to their being interested when their step mom "stepped" out on their dad....Now whom had "wickedness in their heart".....heard was going on for about 6 months. This going on when he told me that!! What balls!!..
And how a thin pioneer, would always talk about weight....when I was overweight. Also about all the places they visited and traveled and the new antiques they bought....when I was a single mom and could never travel or buy antiques like that.....also the accomplishments of her children...when she knew I had a mentally ill son...
I know I will remember more....

After I had carpel tunnel surgery and was in a cast.....not one of the "friends" asked me about it? At first I thought they wanted to be "polite" and not draw attention to the fact of the cast...but thinking more about it afterwards...it was just plain unloving and uncaring. While I was still in the cast....the cong. was having a going away for an older couple...I was told the park and the time. I went with 4 liters of sodas carrying them through the park.....looking like a crazy woman in a cast with these heavy items walking around the whole park......it was a good size park too! After not locating them, I went home frustrated. At the next meeting, when I asked about it, I was told that the location had changed! Why had no one told me, called me, etc.?? So unkind and unconsiderate.
Another time an infant granddaughter of a fellow "sister" whom was also a friend and workmate died, I attended the funeral. Just because her daughter was DF'ed at time.....it was so sad....all of the mother and grandmother's work mates, family, neighbors etc. came but of course no JW's. Our fellow workmates questioned why those from our "church" did not attend the funeral....what a great "witness" huh? I was scoulded when some other "sisters" found out I attended...I told them it was the "loving" thing to do....
Also when this same sister (grandmother of infant) whom is African American....was with a few other "Caucasion" "sisters" after service...were talking about going out to eat and shopping afterwards and what they wanted to shop for etc...carried on a conversation right in front of this "sister" and did not include her nor invite her to go with them!! So rude...don't know if racial or just rude or both!!
Also a young "sister" whom I went to the book study in her home....was handing out her school pictures...after service to all the others in the group...when I innocently asked for one....."oh, she did not have anymore!? So rude....
I know there are other stories, most I have chosen to forget....but I am sure you all have tales such as these....needless to say soon after I "sent my letter of dis-association"....yes, wanted to make sure they never showed up at my door again!

I went back to my "spiritual heritage" that my ancestors were, back to at least 5 generations.....The Presbyterian church....I am a Christian...as the Presbyterian denomination is my choice for simply that it is my religious tradition on my father's side of my family tree....if he would have been Methodist...etc. etc. I most likely would be that denomination. I agree as many that have posted here that the denomination is only of an importance of secondary nature....the first nature, is that Jesus is my personal Savior and all that goes with that.
I enjoy reading all your threads to this post, it is easy to take it all too personally.....I see this simple question has brought up quite a debate. That is only MY opinion. You know opinions are like "bottoms" we all have one!

What really bothers me about my JW research.
by ithinkisee insome of you may know, but i have been on a serious journey through watchtower "theology", and by association, have gone back all through the history of christianity.
i know many on this list have gone thru the same thing.
i have checked out probably 100 archeological, religious, and history books from the library.

The time when they let the poor Malawians DIE for not carrying a political card. At exactly the same time period they allowed the Mexicans to BRIBE officials FOR a political card. This card stating a LIE that they did service. Sounds racist besides....This is what put the icing on the cake for me! I still sometimes think I am in a nightmare and have not woke up....it's been going on 7mos. for me getting out....I am still in shock...

On Ron Rhoades he also has several other "Reasoning" books, Muslims, besides Mormans and JW's. He was on Hank Hanagraff whom is on the radio every day from CRI-Christian Research Institute. CRI does indepth study on cults and false religions. Hank is a very intelligent man, beside his deep Bible (true Bible) knowledge. He is one reason I found out the "truth" about the "truth". My son would listen to him every day and I would want him to turn off that "crazy, false religion guy". But...as I listened he made more and more sense...he was on at 3 in Callie when we lived there, now in the midwest (IL) he is on at 5 (time difference) of course! He is out of Rancho Santa Margarita in Callie (California). I suggest listening to him, he has people call in and ask him questions, when he does not have a guest speaker. Ron was on two days this past week.

I was going to become a white witch before I got mixed up with the dubs in my teen years. They are "good" witches, they only do good spells, love, healh, prosperity, wealth type of. They wear white (no brainer!), they are much like Glenda the good witch in the Wiz of Oz. I did not get real deep into it, I started to join a coven...but the good ole dubs turned me from that path....sorry I don't know more...

im trying to tie it all into my vacation, but i might just have to drive a ways for a 1 day picket within my region.

Wow! That sounds like such fun? I take it you have done the picketing before? I remember when I was a dub that would have been cool to go up to one of them and start a conversation and get their view on matters. But...you know I could not do that with all the "friends" around! Good thing I was a converted JW as a teenager and I don't have any relatives that were, so I did not lose any relationships, in fact they are stronger now that I am out of the cult. I would love to know what it is like to picket? Have you had anyone approach you? Thanks for listening.
