Anyone Remember the "Vet" in Philadelphia?

does anyone remember attending those horrid dc's in philadephia, pa at the old vet?

i remember the awful dread as the elders would so excitedly announce the upcoming dates.

does anyone remember how they urged us to "calmly line up to view the hotel list" because there were plenty of hotels (roachholes) and if this one sold out, that a new list would be put together?

i was talking to one of the mums at the school this morning and she asked what the jw mums did for work, she thought they must have good jobs because they always dress really smart when picking the kids up, i told her "no, they don't work, the blonde one is a window cleaners wife and the dark one is on the dole", well i don't think she believed me because they dress in expensive clothes and always got a face full of paint and hair all done nice.. i guess its just another sign of their fakeness..

it has been exactly a year since i last posted to this website.

in that year i tried once again to integrate myself in the cong.

with my wife and my two daughters.

I-75 London Kentucky-pick up the mags

if you ever travel i-75 through london kentucky, stop off at the shell station at exit 38. on the back side of the building beside the payphones there is a brochure rack for truckers, there are always watchtowers and awakes laying around.

i hit the jackpot on saturday when i was traveling north to dayton, i found a total of 8 different watchtower and awakes, i promptly removed them all.

this has been a tradition for me for the past few years.

i realize there are those here with thousands of posts, but 100 is pretty good, i think.....i still remember a time where i wouldn't be caught dead at one of these sites.

just got back from my brother'splace after being there for three weeks.

i forgot how the org teaches you to view women.

his wife just became the manager of a video store, and i felt so sorry for her when she was talking to him about her work.

i just got a major shock.

i can't believe the new levels of cruelty possible within families who are jws.. a friend on this board who i've known since i was a baby practically has managed to get me a picture of my little sister who i haven't seen for 8 years - the one who i've mentioned my dad said was working on the bethel quick build team.

the one who i've described my fears that she and my younger sister are staying single until armageddon.

we are fast approaching the year 2014 which will be 100 years since 1914. what are jw's and the wt going to do if armaggeddon has not occurred by then?

will they come up with a bunch of "new light" to do away with 1914 all together?

will they suddenly announce that jesus came into kingdom power in the year 2014?
