I find fundies who try to "save" me to be just as obnoxious and just as annoying as the witnesses.
So true. I`m just hoping "the rapture" happens soon, so we can get rid of them. Fly away, little fundie, fly away.
i'm launching a out out blitzkreg on these people, for two reasons only.. 1. to get them saved.. 2, and if they want to, get them holy ghost filled.. 3 years of research, and it's pretty sad that most of these people won't even see the promise land, because alot of them deny being saved, and refsue to recieve salvation when offered.
it's also pretty sad that these people the church is apart of false religion (conderticts ephisians 4:11 and really would put ezekiel 38-39 null invoid), the holy spirit is god's active force (multiple verses).
most of them will evenrefuse to talk to you, if you ask a question that bad mouthes the watchtower society.

All they need is 5.7 billion hits from unique individuals, and with the 300 million or so they are (theoretcially) distributing by hand, they will have covered the globe with this vital, life-saving message!
..and then the end can come. For sure this time. Unless Jehovah is testing us again, that is...

How are you any different, then? Because you believe what you believe is "the truth"? Well, so do they. Imo, you`re no better than them (and they are full of shit)...
Then they wanna bring up the fact that they do more witnessing, and worship Jehovah and read the Bible more then anyone else. Look, if you are a JW, read this. I am a 25 year old afro-american, who is in church 4-5 days a week. I attend Mens ministry, Young Adult ministry, aux. tranings (I help out in the Broadcast dept.), and I am in Minister's school. And that dosen't include attending services on Sundays and Wendesdays, which I also do. Am I required to do this?
No, you`re not. So you should stop it right now, and do something useful.Focus on your education, and go volunteer at a homeless shelter or something.
Ha ha, nice intro on that site. The only problem I have with it, is after you have admitted that "absolute truth exists" (because you don`t have a choice), that you then get: "hi, welcome to blah blah blah ministries...". That`s where it all goes wrong...
doing more digging and thought i would post this for any new ones.
first of all i would like to show you what the bible says about "flase prophets": deuteronomy 18:20. .
20 "however, the prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word that i have not commanded him to speak or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet must die.
You will be interested to learn that God has on earth a people, all of whom are prophets, or witnesses for God. In fact, they are known throughout the world as Jehovah’s Witnesses.
The salesmen-phrases turns my stomach to this day...
i was hoping to find a topic forum of general encouragement.
not finding such an area, i have decided to post it here, as this seems to be the closest.
if this should have been placed in some other area, please let me know.
Based on The Watch Tower 1904, 59 (Reprints 3324). When Satan puts mountains of obstacles in our path to discourage us, we may find it difficult to have faith in our Heavenly Father that such mountainous obstacles can be removed.
Oh,but that`s "old light". Outdated, Jehobah/Watchtower changed his mind about pretty much everything since then.
i live in memphis.
months ago, i had some jw's come by and talk with me.
i'm a believer in the holy bible.
This is entirely unsound and, quite simply, untrue. The words EGW EIMI are normal Greek and in no way call to mind the OT use of the language. For example, in John 9:9 the blind man clearly makes use of the words.
This thread has been going on for 12 pages allready. If you are so certain of your case, start a thread with it. We`ve allready had lots of threads on the "I am"`s in John.

Yes, he`s a jehovahs witness.
About the "name of God": Mondo1 mentioned that the name is not really "I am...etc", but that it is derived from the verb "Ha-Wah" ("to become"). This is correct, but it only presents a part of the whole picture. In the mind of the greeks writing the NT (and reading it), terms like "I am" draws directly on the passages from the OT referring to Yahweh (as shown in Undisfellowshippeds quotes). The grammatical origin of the name is not the same as the (semantic) meaning of the name, in the minds of the writers and readers of the NT-texts 2000 years ago.
