  Hiring a JW or not?

  i work with about 30 guys who fail to realize that one can actually hold a conversation without swear words and still make sense.

  it doesn't happen that way.

  the words they use frequently make the f-word look like a polished piece of vocabulary.. now, about 4 months ago, the son of a jw family in good standing applied for a job there.

  I Am Sick Of Going To Kid's B-Days !!

  the thread started on "an invitation to a wedding" with all its talk on manners got me thinking...... is there any other childless person out there that is tired of being invited to the birthday parties of friend's children?

  i am childless by choice.

  i have a large family with many kids, visiting me, making a huge mess of my house, bugging me for money to go to the store, waiting for me to drop off their gifts every year, playing pranks on me (i'll get those little suckers back), walking around with my shoes on, peeing in my bed, etc.

  so i started my new job today.

  i work for a government agency in a local town.

  my boss received a package via ups and she had no idea who it was from.

  another jw thing that boggles my mind...... my mother-in-law, a super-jw, was crossing the street when she was hit by a car.

  she was fortunate enough to sustain very minor injury (bruises and maybe a minor sprain or two).

  i would describe the accident as very minor.

  "the jehovah's witnesses 90 regional building committess across the nation are taking the lead in organizing the relief and rebuilding effort in new orleans and along the gulf coast..." .

  "the fact that officials at jehovah's witnesses international headquarters in brooklyn, n.y. are calling on all 90 regional committees to pitch in is an indication of just how major a rebuilding effort it will be," garcia said.

  the article mentions 22 kingdom halls damaged by flood waters and 8 completely destroyed in the new orleans area alone.

  WT Against Higher Education...Again

  the october 1, 2005 watchtower slams higher education in a 5 page analysis on why it is better to pioneer than go to college.

  i recieved this wt today and i was shocked by the statements in there.
