The story of the baboon made me sick!
I have never liked baboons.
I fear them. Healthy fear. They can be viscious fighters and killers.
But so can bears, lions, walruses, dogs, mamba snakes,.....
Lets face it. Its a dangerous world.

by Mary ini watched dr. phil yesterday, where they were highlighting the disappearance of natalee holloway who disappeared in aruba over 5 months ago, and amy bradley who vanished from a cruise ship 7 years ago.
i always assumed that these girls were raped and then murdered and they very likely could be, but the program highlighted the sex-slave trade that is growing in leaps and bounds all over the world.
i sat there and listened in shock as one guy revealed what happens to some of these girls during snuff movies.

There are alot of people to love out there in the world. I do not believe in the one and only theory.
Think about it. Meeting someone is a chance thing. One day you wake up and walk down the street and happen to turn left and happen to feel hungry and happen to go into a restaurant a friend recommended and happen to have to wait to be seated. While waiting, a young woman also walks in and must take the seat beside you and the two of you begin to talk.
Or you turn a corner at work and by chance bump into a beautiful woman.
Or the person you expected to see at some appointment gets sick and its a different person and you fall head over heels.
Going to the same school, living on the same block, shopping at the same store, working in the same building are all chance things.
When it doesnt work out with one person it is not the end of the world. How could a chance meeting turn in to the end of the world?????
If that person didnt happen to meet you, then another person would have come into your life.
I truly believe there are millions of people we could be with right now. -

I sing in a Barbershop Quartet. Any other singers ?
by rwagoner inmy favorite stress management tool (besides being goofy with my kids) is singing in a barbershop quartet.
just 4 voices...ringing harmonies....i know its old fashioned and sappy but i like it.. any other old..or young farts out there that sing barbershop....or other styles too?.
how does music and being able to express yourself with it effect your life?.

You are so lucky RW! In another thread I just posted that I attended a community choir last week. One performance was a barbershop quartet! Wow! Amazing! And it must be fun! Its not that common you know. But everybody enjoys it.
I sing, but have never joined a group. Must put that on my things to do list!! -

What do you do when this board isn't enough?
by MsMcDucket insometimes, i find myself sitting alone in the house.
i don't have very many friends, because of the troof.
i'm a introverted person anyway.

My new mother in law joined a community choir a month ago.
(Oh yeah I thought...community anything is volunteer and they let anybody and everybody in and they are usually lousy)
WRONG!!!!!!
I just went last Saturday to hear them sing! OMG was I shocked and stunned and touched in the heart by what I heard!!! (At first I suspected they were all lip-sinking or something) How disbelieving I've become!
The music was AWESOME!!! I thought how glad I was for my MIL to find this group. She had expressed loneliness and a desire to be with fun people.
BINGO MOM! You found it alright!
They are putting on another performance this Sunday and I will be there! -
