Drug Addiction- Meth addiction, Did You Know Someone Addicted? Dangerous!
by flipper ini felt it was good to start a thread on this as methamphetamine addiction has become one of the most abused drugs in our society.
unfortunately, from what i've heard is it is relatively cheap to make , not as expensive as other drugs, and highly addictive once a person is " hooked" they have an extremely hard time getting off it.
crank or speed as it is called makes people highly aggressive, mean spirited, and can make them violent.

What Dreams Have you Had, and have you Talked in Your Sleep ?
by flipper innow here is a little different subject we haven't discussed much.
i read a book a while back about dreams called, gestalt therapy verbatim , by frederick perls, a well known psychologist .
his take on dreams, without getting too deep, was we dream about unfinished situations in our lives which are troubling us still .

MISANTHROPIC- WOW ! That would be bizarre if dreams brought you to a decent nice guy. What was that movie title ? " What Dreams May Come " ? Never saw the movie, but the title seemed appropriate . LOL!
Oops, before any misconceptions or rumors start, I'm pretty sure Tijkmo was just teasing-. My life is good just as it is :-) -

is being in love with your spouse a decision or an emotion? when to divorc
by sosad ini would like some advice from any of you that have been there - a good friend of mine had an affair years ago, ended up working with the same guy and is now in love with her boyfriend instead of her husband ( several kids involved) the affair is now not a physical one but there is no doubt they are dating.
i wish i was unaware but i am - she says she has picked her family over the boyfriend but he is like a bumble bee around her- walking her dog past her house etc the boyfriend is older, married and has always been a tomcat - now he is truly in love and will wait.
i have told her it is going to blow up - and i know it is her deal to figure out - but i am from the happily married class and am at a loss.

closing her eyes and pretending she's not really married isn't the answer. dating the first person who shows us attention isn't the answer.
you can't run away from yourself. this person is a married lady with a family. she can't live in a fantasy world and pretend that isn't the case.
if she is not happy being a married lady...then take the steps to get out on her own. own up the responsibilty of her wants.
once she is on her own, supporting herself...she will then be free to date whoever she wants. and she probably won't want the tom cat.
I couldn't agree more. My older sister once said that "any woman could love any man" if they were the only 2 people left in the world. I've thought about that for a long time since and I have to agree. To commit to someone there must have been something there in the first place. Lust or infatuation isn't equal to love, if you marry someone I would think that there was an emotion as well as a decision to love that person. -

A lot of the information you'll get from those sites will be worthless, unless you're lucky.
You can always do a search in the area of the person you're wanting to "look into" for free. If you're looking for court records just do a search of their name in the county court records- which is usually easily accessed online, same thing as if your looking for address or phone information. If you know the county they live in, you can look at the public records of the parcels online. That's the best way to start. If you use those search sites (the online pay ones) you're likely to get information that's not necessarily accurate. -

A lot of people say I look like bridgette fonda. I am just kind of ordinary. And I think she's kind of ordinary looking, too.
I don't know about that, I think Bridgette Fonda is beautiful
Happy Harvester- I LOVE Sally! I love that whole movie but I have like 5 Sally T shirts. She's my favorite, I'm going to see the 3D version this Sunday. -

I certainly will not join in a Richie "backslapping" routine and encourage him in this orgy of bodily mutliation, just as I did not encourage him to ignore his obesity on a thread a couple of years ago which resulted in a furor of attacks on myself when I suggested that his future would not be a healthy one if he did not take care of his weight issues.
I am very pleased that he is taking his health more seriously. Unlike many posting on this and past threads, I actually care about this kid. He is intelligent, driven and deserves a happy future.
That this Board is made up to large degree of sheep who are happy to have others dictate what is hip and what is not, is not my problem.
I remember that thread. I think there's something to be said when someone gives an honest opinion- even if it's not the "popular" one, or exactly what I want to hear.
I do somewhat understand the people who are concerned about what he's choosen to do with his body; although I don't agree with some of their reasons or their approach. I also don't think his tattoo's and piercings have anything to do with Richies "well being". As Hillary said, and I'll quote him again:"He is intelligent, driven and deserves a happy future".
I completely agree but it is a fact of life that people judge you based on your appearance especially when it's because of something you've chosen to modify- fair or not it is a fact. Some people are going to see that and think it's a cry for help, like some of the comments I've read already. Making judgement of you before even knowing you. It could even cost you a job you really wanted or needed.
What I think about is mainly Richie's age, he is young and the things he likes as far as the tattoo's and piercings may not fit with the person he is still becomming. It could affect his life in ways he has yet to see. I hope not but it could, that's the thing that worries me. I wouldn't want Richie to be affected later in life ~ be it his work or personal life based on things he did while he was young.
* I wasn't going to comment on any of this, but I felt the need to since this topic is hitting pretty close to home with someone in my life. Tattoos and piercings can be removed through lazer or surgery but they are all extremely expensive, time consuming procedures. Although in time it will be gone, it kills me to see someone I know personally who has so much regret for these same choices made in his youth. I know not everyone who has such extreme body modifications will ever get to a point in their life where they regret them. Coming from the perspective of someone who has, it's very sad for me to see the emotional anguish attached to the choices he made before he knew who he really was. And that's all I want to say. -
