  JW VS Apostate code words

  every social group develops their own code words to identify themselves with that group.this is part of the study of semiotics.

  jws have many code words.then there are semiotics for apostates.

  Interesting question, the one thing that stuck with me and still does is the supposed healty fear of displeasing the almighty one,thus we would try to be "good" or in other words be miserable, not allowed to play with the worldy kids, and even not allowed to associate with the supposed good ones life was like a prison,and they then wonder why when you are set free from it you go wild, well after 32 years of being part of it i finally had my first xmas dinner, birthday, and all the other pagan celebrations, and you know what, god didnt strike me down with lightening, and i actually had fun, guilt free, but i will say this growing up as a child in it does screw your mind, it is so much harder to life a " worldy life" after being brought up in the prison we did.

  Anti-watchtower magazine company

  i was thinkin the other day, it's a damn shame nobody has started a nationwide magazine company producing a magazine that picks out all of the watchtower's flaws, and that is brought door to door on saturday mornings to show jw's for the asses they are.

  i would be the first one in line to get the latest copies.

  i betcha it'd tear down the whole jw structure....too bad, some dreams are only that..... "no cool quote yet, but i'll think of one soon.

  Need computer help - data recovery

  simon, rw, jan, norm, af, farkel & anyone else this is a cry for help.... i really need help recovering data were the directory is lost.. i have a hard drive that i pulled off of a machine that crashed.

  i have slaved it to a machine running xp in order to recover data files.

  when looking at the hd properties for this drive it shows that 9 gigs out of 20 are used yet will not show a directory of files on the drive.

  well, i had a run in with my sister in law this weekend.

  nothing direct between me and her since she shuns me.

  but my brother dave told me something that just pissed me off to no end.

  I am sorry you are going through this, i know how you feel, my own family told my children that i was dead because i was d/f and that they didnt have to come visit me or see me if they didnt want too, but you know what i think, who needs them, i know who loves me and who cares about me and i dont need them in my life anymore.

  Last visit to KH today - DA letter - Official XJW

  well, i've been procrastinating this for some time now and taken my counsel from you fine people here but i finally made what will be my last journey ever to the kingdom hall today and posted my disassociation letter into the postbox.

  with fine tuning over past weeks, this is what finally went into it:.

  did you have narrow minded turds as elders/overseers in your congregation?

  yup so did i...they're everwhere.. "there was this one time..at band camp"....it was in a hired hall actually...where we used to organise congregation functions like farewells etc.

  this usually consisted of food...non alcoholic beverages...and some entertainment...usually square dancing and some skits...and a presentation or speech.. at one function a particular elder was offended that the 'gay gordon' was one of the dances for the evening...so he promptly left...yup...at the next function it was renamed the 'happy gordon'...as his conscience wouldn't allow him to attend otherwise.
