  i've completely stopped taking part in any jw activities for close to a year now and will be visiting my jw family for the next couple of weeks.

  they have no idea that i have become "apostate".

  for all they know i am still an active jw.

  msmcduket, i seem to have forgotten that there is a life outside of jwd.

  i lost my job last christmas, so i lost my housekeeper.

  Legolas....I was wondering how "you wear clothes to bed" was a compliment.

  I was thinking it was a compliment because he still likes lookin'

  My husband has the same complaint... but I take it as a compliment

  Skype is software that allows you to make phonecalls from computer to computer anywhere in the world for free, via the internet.

  That sounds great!! So does the person you are calling have to be logged onto the internet in order for you to reach them? Or can you call someone's home number?

  scott adams, the dilbert comic guy and author of the outstanding book "god's debris" has now made the book available for free as an e-book.

  (it's a pdf).

  i bought the e-book and have read it 3 or 4 times.

  My daughter's friend always tells me that I'm her 'favorite mom'... and asks my daughter if she will 'share' me...! That's a pretty good compliment coming from a 17 year old girl...

  A friend who I email (fading JW) told me the other day that my emails were helping her through a difficult situation she was in. That made me feel really good.

  That education I didn't get....

  yeah, so instead of moping about being discouraged from pursuing higher education i've decided to take advantage of this new freedom and have enrolled myself in an undergraduate degree.

  i'm going to start on it part-time, and study via correspondence.

  the materials for my first unit arrive next week and i've been gearing up for it for a couple of months starting with some short study skills practice; trying to get my dried-out brain working again.

  Congratulations sass! Reading this kind of thread is inspiring. I need to get my butt in gear and get a degree, too, but there always seems to be too many other demands on my time. Then I read that someone else is doing it, and get all excited all over again....
