bikerchic: True i should not listen. I really don't respond when they do call me but I do realize I have to stop talking with them (JWs). I try to be nice on the phone. I just hate two-face JW's.

Well, that put me over the top, she we have been sperataed, I've recieved countless calls from her JW friends telling me how much they hate her and what a bad person she is. Just yesterday I call a call from one of her "best friends" telling me she can't believe what a b*tch my ex is and how better off I'm with out her. My old KH has 6 Elders and 5 of them have called me to tell me that they support me even though I'm not going to meetings and wish that me ex would move halls. They (the Elders) are tired of her playing the "poor me" card. My point is this, I hat two-faced people. I hate the fact that all these JW calll me and talk sh*t about my wife (which by the way I agrre with), then when she is at the meeting, they hug and give her the "how are you holding up" line. Without mentioning names to my ex I warmed her to be carefully becasue all she is being told is true. Just venting hear. That's for listening.

i remeber one elder (married with one child) expected people to give him and his wife gas monie to go out on service.

How Many People Here Have Been "Disciplined" By The Elders?
by minimus inby "discipline" i mean, either private, public reproof, disfellowshipping or something that got you in enough trouble that you had to be counseled by the loving shepherds and it cost you something by not having "privileges".

Private reproof. I was counseled may times for dumb stuff. Once I was counseled for taking a group of young brothers to a baseball game on a meeting night. Regarding drinking, I remenber at one wedding a couple of the Elders came to my house after and we all got really drunk. Another found out about it and they counsled ME not the elders for "feeding them drinks". Whatever....

Fading In? Am I nuts?

in those days i deeply believed in the org and became disillusioned by some things happening in the local congregation.
following some research on the net i decided to fade out of watchtower existence because i did not want to keep mixing with false religion (or so i thought at the time).

Why is the attendance numbers taken twice during the meetings?
by JH inthe watchtower wants to know just about everything and the attendance at meetings is one of them.. do they count how many people are at the hall a second time, just to know if anyone slipped out un noticed ?.

Why do they count the babies?????? I'd leave at half time all the time then get the "are you feeling ok" telephone calls after.
