  Do You REALLY Believe That A Pedophile Issue Will Bring Down The Watchtower

  i see the excitement and thrill when a jw gets nailed for pedophilia.

  i'm happy when any of these creeps get caught.

  but i just don't think that this is what will bring down the organization.

  Spread the good....chickenpox!?

  my mum was just telling me today how 'good' my cousin is as she got to the assembly with her four kids, even though one of them is poorly with chicken pox!.

  wouldn't you call that just being plain stupid?!.

  me, i'm reduced to just smiling politely and remembering when i would have been that stupid!

  How is it spread?
  Chicken pox is very contagious. It is a respiratory disease that is spread by contact with nasal mucus and saliva. it can be spread by coughing and sneezing, kissing on the lips and sharing food, eating utensils and mouthed toys. It is also spread by touching your hands to your nose and mouth, reusing tissues, and forgetting to wash your hands after blowing noses. It spreads most easily in crowded and poorly ventilated rooms. Rarely, it can also be spread from contact with the oozing skin lesions.

  When is it contagious?
  Chicken pox is contagious from 2 days before the rash appears until 5 days after the start of the rash. In milder cases, the contagious period may end sooner, around the time that the pox scab over. After exposure to chicken pox, it usually takes 11-14 days (up to 21 days) to develop the illness.

  Should the child stay home?
  A child with chicken pox should stay home until 6 days after the start of the skin rash or when all the skin lesions are scabbed over, whichever is earlier.

  If the child was still contageous than that is just plain mean and dangerous.

  I want a Bible

  i want a bible that hasn't been written by or for 'apologists'.

  i want a bible written in english that correctly translates 'yhwh' as 'yahve' or 'yahweh' and 'elohim' as 'gods' instead of 'god'.

  a recent bit of study has shown that many modern english bibles commit pious fraud by translating words like 'asherah'(idol used in sex worship by the patriarchs) as 'grove' or 'tree' in order to cover up the true roots of ancient 'hebrew' worship.

  Yes in art you can only create from your imagination or from pictures you have taken of living models. If you look at sample picture even public domain pictures and paint/draw/color from them together that is stealing of intellectual property. I am not sure if books work the same way as websites. With websites you can purchase images to use so two websites could be legally using a similiar image. If they claim to be created by artists at Bethel then something shady happen according to current plagarism laws. Of course I don't know if these laws were as strict in the 1950's.

  the witnesses we know are obviously brainwashed, but do you think we ever recover from what it did completely?

  does every part of jw'ness leave us?.

  i have a feeling that even if its not obvious, things from our personal insecurities to how we act and who we are is a result of the org, yes even if your the rebellious type cos then your just running away .

  Anytime I see witnesses I literally have a panic attack and I only studied with them. Of course I have PTSD from them so that makes a different.

  we all know witnesses believe in the paradise.

  they make it seem like it will be such a beautiful place free of crime, pollution, sadness,etc.

  but, if there was really going to be a paradise here on earth the world as we know it would be so different.

  Russell original opinion was that the increase in knowledge in science, technology etc was happening for the purpose of being used in the new age. He felt that the downsides of advances such as things being used for evil or pollution was because of man had not perfected it yet but in the new age theses things would be there and would be perfected.

  i have deliverance here...stange how the book kinda goes with the movie.... also found 8 more at a flea market...but they wanted $12.00 each.

  i got a kick out of the illustrations of the devil and the wt emblem on the back is kinda spooky.

  Why are EX-JW's and JW's in doubt(faders) so ''afraid" of the elders?

  i have been out for years now but i still tremble alittle when i run into an elder at the store or run into an elder on the street and my post question certainly applies to me as well but why do i still have fear of jw's elders?

  i have been da'd for so many years but that fear still comes up.

  and reading alot of the post here i still see ex-jw's and jw's faders living a pretended jw life or pretending to be happy when they are miserable in the wt.

  PTSD from exposure to a high control group. It is like a dog or a child that is abused. Anytime someone moves thier hand quickly they freak even if removed from the abusive situation.

  i saw a short piece last night on an activist group in a little town in (i believe) connecticut -.

  they were trying to enact local legislation to limit door knocking.

  the issue was not the jws - it was about one of those general magazine salespeople who got into some elderly ladies house and robbed & murdered her a year or two back.
