I trust that you didn't take what I said as an implication that you were trolling at all. I meant that it would be tossing a bit of fuel onto YK, and getting him all fired up, especially when it comes to having a chance to "have at" us apostates.
He has recently taken to his old standby "Economic collapse is nigh!" which he has been spouting for years. You may also recall that he said, way back in 2000, that if 2001 should come around and the world was still here (which, of course, was impossible), he would fade away. This was a year after we were assured that the world would surly fall apart no later than Dec 31 of 1999. In other words, those statements which he has made which can be held to measure have ALL failed - he has been 100% wrong in every prediction he has made.
Sure, he may be an interesting person, but then again he may just be a kook. A well written kook I'll grant you, but a kook nontheless. I must say that I am surprised to hear that he has chosen to block his email address.

JW pictures

I agree with you on this. In particular, just what would be the benefit to them in doing this, even if it did have some real effect on people?
In any complex pattern (such as a painting, illustration, or photos of the surface of Mars), you can always find things that look like other things. Our pattern-seeking brain helps this along by seeing faces and other images in what is really random patterns. Except, of course, for that image of Jesus that appeared in the reflections of a car dealership in New Jersey - that was real. And so was the image of Jerry Garcia I once saw in a burnt tortilla.
They may be fun to look at, but I don't take the idea of subliminal messages very seriously.

Any interest in a meeting in the Northeast?
by ChuckD inwould anyone be up for some sort of cookout / barbeque sort of thing somewhere in the northeast in the next few weeks, perhaps around labor day?
being in providence, just about anywhere from ncy to boston would work for me.
we could drink beer, make smores, and tell stories.

I see. Well, I can tell you that when the time comes for you to "come out" (to borrow a metaphor) and be yourself, it is a wonderful feeling.
Of course, until then you can use the old fake beard disguise, which was always a favorite among those elders who had a need to visit the porno theater back in the pre-VCR days.

Why would you feel a need to be in disguise? Would you be hiding your identity from the folks at Brooklyn HQ, or from those of us who would be holding the event?

No, not a Lobstofest. I am thinking of something far less involved - and DEFINATELY not to be held at casa Chuck. You are most certainly on the "A" list for the next Lobstofest though!

My thoughts will be with you. I wish that this were an easy situation to deal with, but it is not. But take heart in knowing that you are very much not alone in this, and that many others have been where you are now and know how dificult it is. We also know that once you move on from this place, life will only get better.
