Its the Year 2008 and the Apostates are having a Party (Doctrine Changes!)

having just read the 'exciting announcements at the service meeting' topic i am one happy apostate!.

i wanted to see how you would put these changes into conversation while speaking to a jehovah's witness?.

for example for myself' talking with my mum recently, she told me that gifts like tongues, prophecy, healing etc have stopped and this was mainly because the ones doing these things were annointed ones.. yes i accept this wouldn't stand as it is because actually, there are still annointed ones but why haven't we an outburst of different miracles now because hey, we are all potential annointed ones...i might start claiming to be a annointed to mum lol, tell her i left because i felt annointed but was forced to leave because doctrine taught otherwise...come next year omg karl is annointed!!!.

after being raised as a jw, my dad was df'd for the 2nd time in 1994. that year he lost a wife, 3 children, mother and brother, as well as every friend he had made throughout his 40 years of life.

over the years my sister and i gradually started contacting him, but never had a real father/daughter relationship.

a few years ago, during my divorce, he and i sat down and started discussing his feelings.

A COURSE IN MIRACLES~lesson #1

i've been reading posts on this forum for almost a month now and one of the observations i've made is that the organizations's brainwashing is still deep within the minds of many of the posters here.

feelings of guilt, hopelessness, fear are all residual effects of the mind control.

when i broke free i came across a course in miracles by viking press that helped clear my mind and lay the path for a life of happiness and meaning.
