Uh... well, no. But I've known a bunch of women who have. Personally, I'm in favor of justifiable homicide. But that's just me.

Every night they come home to roost
by nilfun indid you ever go sit outside on the porch for some fresh air, only to get dragged back in by your hair and kicked on every exposed part and you curl up into a ball because someone is growing inside of you and even the backs of your hands get kicked because you were shielding your head with them and seven years later you have to see a chiropractor on a regular basis because of it and you are walking down the street and someone passes you by that looks just like him and you involuntarily raise your shoulder up in a defensive motion and sometimes when you are getting your photo taken the flash bulb makes you wince because it reminds you of when the cop took pictures of your bruises for evidence and you would like to think of him as dead but then he calls every week and he still does not think he did anything wrong except get caught and you know that if you had gotten out of the car that night he would have tried to push you over the edge of the steep drop and you would have turned over and over in the air and landed so hard that you would have never gotten back up so instead you go home and you know that all those stories you were told when you were a kid about how domestic violence was not a valid reason to get a divorce were just the product of some sick minds and later when he holds the knife to your belly you are not there you are somewhere else planning your escape and his downfall as well and you realize that it is a lie when you say you don't think you could ever take a life because he has pushed you to that point and when all is said and done he serves eight months and moves on and gets his degree but you still feel trapped in all the poison he vomited on you and you will never be clean again and is it too much to ask to be free from the past?

DESTROYED !
by Derrick inthe visiting co pointed out in his talk that "people who love to practice evil will be destroyed [very strong vocal emphasis on this word] !
" many of you insist he is referring to those whose only "sin" is not being a baptized jehovah's witness and their children.
after my experiences on the internet from ajwr to h2o to this forum, however, i'm beginning to appreciate that all is not "black" and "white" but many shades of gray, many hues of stunning colors, and a mixture.. why not use the words killed or executed to describe the fate of these evil people, i asked the co afterwards?

Hello, Cyre.
Do they encourage you to make an honest, thorough examination of your religion? Good! How are they about an honest, thorough examination of theirs? For example, what is their reaction when you tell them you've been to this website? Do they applaud you for doing research on your own? Or do they immediately start in on how the people here are apostates and they and their thinking must be avoided in order to preserve your spirituality? Do they warn you that Satan is trying to put stumbling blocks in your path here? Hmm.
Hope you stick around long enough to get the full picture.

Can we still be friends, if I disagree with you?
by Mulan in.
let's talk about this.. i have lots of friends on this board.
so..........can we still be friends, if i disagree with you?

It's all in how we go about disagreeing, Mulan. Even though he's probably a neat guy in person, I find it hard to like jjrizzo on this board because he has a habit of lumping people who don't agree with his beliefs into little black-and-white categories and assigning selfish or cowardly motives as their reasons for believing as they do. Andi and Neil, on the other hand, are a couple of the most sincere, dedicated Christians I've ever known; yet they are nonjudgmental, and understand things like the influence of circumstance and experience. They're aware that it's possible to be sincere, logical, cautious and thorough and yet still not believe as they do. And they don't condemn or speak condescendingly. At one of our apostafests Andi and I had a discussion about my beliefs, which wound up with her saying that she thought I was exactly where I was supposed to be at this point in my spiritual journey. I doubt that jjrizzo could even wrap his mind around such a concept.
Yes, we can disagree and be friends. All it takes is mutual respect.

Is Bald Beautiful?
by jack2 inafter i got a haircut recently, a look in the mirror revealed a little too much recession of my hairline for comfort.
i saw that 'horseshoe' shape atop my head.
so, while i was away, i got my head buzzed.

When I shaved my head, it looked really strange to me (49 years of seeing my reflection with hair, then suddenly without... well, duh!). I was a little self-conscious about it. But the reactions I got were almost all positive. Ladies at work commented favorably and sometimes even flirtatiously about it. Several female acquaintances said it looked "hot" and "sexy". Several black guys at work shave their heads. One of them stopped by my desk, eyed me critically, and said, "You know, a lot of white guys can't get away with that, but you have the right head shape for it."
After a couple of months I got tired of shaving the whole thing every day, so one day a couple of weeks ago I stopped and let it grow back out. It's a little past military buzz length now, and I will probably shave it all off again in the morning and start over

Why do older women make the best lovers?
They don't yell
They don't swell
They don't tell
They're grateful as hell(Actually, they do yell, but that poem's not of my originality, so ask the author, I dunno why it says that)
Shari, of the, maybe I've still got it after all, class.

Scared me, Simon! I posted a reply, but it went to a 404 screen when I submitted, and for a minute there the whole forum website was offline. I thought, "A second tremor must have hit..." Hope all's well there.

When I bought my new home in June, I looked forward to having my own big sprawling yard to play in. But the grass grew so fast, it needed mowing about every five days; from weekend to weekend it got an overgrown look to it, and I spent part of almost every weekend this summer mowing and weedeating, which was at least a half-day job. I wanted to maintain the place myself instead of hiring someone, but jeez, I didn't realize the amount of work that would go into it!
So, just when I was starting to lose all the fun part of it, the weather cooled off, the grass stopped growing like mad... and I got the neatest surprise! Mind you, I don't know anything about lawns and gardening. I'm having to learn from scratch. My understanding was that I had bermuda grass in my yard. I don't know, that's what they told me. Well, whatever it is, one morning it all burst into these beautiful white blossoms all over the yard. It looks like snow! Two weeks now it's been like that, and I've been able to skip mowing and cutting all the flower tops off, because the grass quit growing! Only a couple of my neighbors have these flowers, and nobody with the profusion of mine.
Last week, I was walking across the lawn with sandals on and scooped a bee up between the sandal and my foot. He expressed his indignation in that way that bees do, and I had a closer look. My yard was alive with honey bees moving from blossom to blossom! Kewl! ...in spite of me having to hobble on the side of my foot for the rest of the day.
