lately, i have been thinking that this is one of the reasons that the society does not encourage higher education.
try handing in an essay without your name on it, try not referencing your essay, try having no works cited, try to have only 1 works cited, try quoting out of context, try spewing statistics or numbers or trends in your essay with no reference or date, add ellipsis that only alert your instructor to the potential of hidden information, or try presenting as support for your thesis a third party quote.

in our kingdom hall they discussed the internet and sexual predators at length and mentioned a recent circuit assembly where the district overseer went on and on about the internet without mentioning specific sites.
the circuit assembly and the service meeting discussed that apostate sites and others for jws were used by non-jws to date non-married jw sisters and also by sexual predators.

i think what hurt the most was not the actually beatings i took... or the words my father used... it was the fact that my mother just sat back and let it happen... never once did i hear her tell him off... i guess thats what you get for being the unwanted adopted child... but she just sat there and let it happen, she knew and didnt seem to care... makes me wish my real parents had lived...

its funny, i really honestly had a carreer coming to me in soccer, except i was not ALLOWED to go to my tryouts for the portugal team... my parents said no, and i almost got reproved for playing on the school team!! DAMN, WHO WOULDA THOUGHT I COULD BE A SPORTS STAR AND A J-DUB??? then again, the lack of personal space, privacy, the crazy schedule, the pain, the constant need to be on top really arent appealing to me... i guess i would just have to be a sports star....
