Not the case actually. Like I said, I had already arranged with an elder to be there, and he had ordered the books for me. Apparently elders have been told to start reighning in on "worldly" people getting certain literature, no doubt because so much of their stuff ends up on the internet and being analyzed critically. They don't mind giving their literature to people who take it as gospel truth. Just like now they have one WT for insiders and another one for outsiders. Nothing makes them madder than other people using their literature to make fun of them. Just like their suing watchtower quotes.

At the hall last night

He began to give me a schpiel about how the books belong to the Society and not just anybody could have them. The brother was huffing and puffing, actually angry at me for some reason. He asked me how many meetings I had been to lately. I said that was none of his business. He then said, well you are going to have to leave now. I said I had been attending meetings sporatically and that I had been sick for awhile. He started laughing at me and shaking his head and said, "Well, I've been here every meeting and I've never seen you." I said, are you calling me a liar?" He said, "well how come I have never seen you?" I said, "Well I've never seen you either?" "As big as I am you've never seen me?" "Can I just get my books and leave?" "I already told you to leave. Do you want me to call the cops?' "I haven't gotten my books yet" "I'm calling 911 right now." So I left.
When you have dealings with stupid people you will fare badly. Every single encounter with these sick and ignorant people just drags me down and makes me pity them more and more. God how I pity them!! They are just getting worse and worse all the time. Sicker and sicker. -

so i have reported this and social services are calling our eight year old grandson a liar.
they told the maternal grandmother not to ask questions about the weekend visits with his dad.

Seriously though. A DOCTOR should be consulted. Let me repeat this: A DOCTOR should be consulted, both a general practitioner and a Psychiatrist. They are trained to be able to tell whether there is abuse or not. Let me spell it out for you: D-O-C-T-O-R! -

Does anyone know for sure when this change took place and the rationale behind it? I think it was around 1994. I know it was when I was in Bethel, so it must have been 90-96. In fact I'm pretty sure I was in the spanish congregation when it went down. I remember thinking that the "New" pioneers were not real pioneers since they only had to get 70 hours. I figured the Society was going soft.

Contemplating my end here

the net is very time consuming, and i cant keep up with every post on here, no matter how hard i try.. .
im embarking on a new journey here in the next few months, and i just have to break myself free from the internet.. .
