I challege all you logic denyers to disprove the statement that "if the premises are correct then deductive reasoning is true in the absolute sense." It is only when one of the premises are not true that deductive logic can be faulty.
Example: demonstrate how the following is NOT true: I dare ya!
P1: All Bobs are blue
P2: Jim is a Bob
Therefore Jim is blue
If someone here can disprove that example I will eat my hat.
Come on logic denyers!!! Take me up on it!!!! Spin your emotional diatribe!!!
Even in a dream, 2+2=4
Even in an alternate universe, Jim is still blue.
Even in God's vacuum of time and space, Jim is still blue, and 2+2 still =4.

I think that "Logic denyers" are immature. they cling emotionally to their beliefs that logic happens to disprove, very conveniently of course. What they forget is that, if God exists, then he invented logic, and he did so for our benefit TO USE as a template FOR TRUTH!!!! For something to be true, it must be logical. All of you here who are arguing against the absoluteness of logic ARE USING LOGIC TO MAKE YOUR POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! So you are inadvertantly saying that logic is absolute, even when you are saying that logic is not absolute. No one can take a single step, or utter a sentence without using logic. Grammar and logic are roughly the same terms, as subject and predicate MUST AGREE. You MUST use LOGIC TO SAY EVEN THE SIMPLEST SENTENCE!!!!!!!

The ability to be cool is much more valuable. ask yourself who is talking in your head and telling you you need to be more assertive? Your husband, your mother, father, brother sister, people at the Hall? Take it from an asshole. The ability to be an asshole is a mixed blessing to be sure. I can be an incredib;le asshole. It's being cool when things get hot that's the real talent. They were just kids. Let it go. Anyone can be an asshole to kids. It doesn't make it right. Be cool like you are instead.

The meeting tonight was UNBEARABLE

cheesy movies

i also really like "beetlejuice," "the american president," and several others that i admit are cheesy but a great deal of fun.

There was a movie with Roddy Piper (the wrestler) in it where he found some sun glasses that enabled him to see that half of the people on earth were aliens. I think the movie was called "Them" or something. Really fun, cheesy movie with a ten minute fight scene in the middle that has practically nothing to do with the rest of the movie.

Right off the bat one notices that the studies were done on prison inmates. Hardly a valid measure of the JW population in general. The obvious reason behind my statement is that when someone is in prison, this increases psychotic behavior, BECAUSE THEY ARE IN PRISON! Duh..... We need better research if we're going to make such assertions. Though I kind of suspect that it is true that mental illness occurs in Witnesses more often than in the general population.

Are there any cult experts out there who do not consider jWs a cult? I haven't seen any. Just what does the Knocking video use as a definition of cult? The JW definition perhaps? I would love to chat with the idiots that produced that film. Does anyone know of any forums that relate directly to the film and its makers?
