how ludicrous is that witness idea?

wifey and i have been out for well over two years - and had 'faded' some months before that.

Don't they understand the concept of 'I'm already gone'?

The misunderstanding is universal among elders. I had some stop by a few weeks ago about some comments that I had supposedly made several months ago. I hadnt been to a meeting for months before those supposed comments even.

They said that they needed to keep the congregation clean... Guess they hadnt noticed I hadnt attended their congregation for 9 months or so.

Hmm.. Then again, maybe it was some sort of weird way to invite me to a hall cleaning. Who knows?

anyone who has been following my situation may recall that it looks like the elder's are 'closing in' on wifey and i after having been out about two and a half years.

i think they may force a showdown with a registered letter inviting me to the jc.

i don't care if they df me.

Why are JWs still preaching when the Jan. 1 1989 Watchtower clearly stated that the work would end within the 20th century? And why was the 1989 bound volume sanitized to remove that statement?

Is there a scan of this somewhere?

This whole topic makes me very sad remembering how misguided and repressed we all were.

No kidding. I cant believe the amount of control over my life I allowed those tools to have.

I got talked to once for not having enough return visits. I was putting in 90+ hours a month and working full time too, had the boring 4 door service car and made every meeting, but apparently just because people didnt want to listen that nonsense and I was too honest than to lie on my service report, I wasnt doing good enough. I didnt get more than 4 hours sleep a night for 9 months because of the schedule I was keeping.

STALKED II

as i was studying last night for organic chem the phone rang around 10:30 p.m. eastern as i predicted it would.

when i answered it was my mom on the other end, again as i predicted.

afterall, it was tuesday night, the night of theorcratic minstry school and the service meeting and of course i knew the elders were going to speak to my mom about the little incident out in the shaws parking lot.

Thats sucks that your Mom has to go through that mess.

What always gets me about these stories is that the elders are concerned about you "bringing dishonor on the Borg".. If you havent associated with the Witnesses for over 4 years, joined the military and havent even told your girlfriend that you were once part of their cult, how can you possibly be dishonoring them? I doubt anyone even suspects you were associated with them.

Might be a bit heavy for most (except ATypical apparently), but anything by Hatebreed is post-witness gold. The recurring theme is Stand on your own two feet, dont trust or you'll be misled, etc, etc

i am looking for a creative or a usaul way to get my turn at being disfellowshipped.

i was a witness that married a 'worldly' guy.

so, basically i can do anything i want and not get disfellowshipped.

Yep, that would get you disfellowshipped....at the very least a talk with the elders in the back room...

Hah! I was in two baptist weddings when I was still very active, once as a groomsman and once as the best man. Guess I lucked out.
