the book of revelation is unlike any other book in the bible.
so many visions leaving many to wonder what do they mean?
supposedly, it holds the key to the future of mankind.. john had been through so many trials and tribulations.
Yeah,the 'shrooms........gotta be the 'shrooms.
Or did they have peyote over there?

freedom of speech is a good thing.
but any good thing can turn into a bad thing when it is taken to extremes.
personal attacks do not need to be protected.
Lisa,
Well said my friend.

Dave,
Thanks so much for the lovely ewe...However,I must admit I no longer have it.My fourth cousin twice removed,Jasper, who is from up in your neck of the woods,by the way, fell in love with it.He said the fellas back at the compound would really enjoy it...But he wrote that he no longer has it either. He said that he bit it on the neck, and it farted and flew out the window!Go figure...Please don't bother to send another one,we could find no good place to hide drugs in it.
Please remind slayer that Bubba will be coming to visit if he don't pay up real soon...
Thanks

this subject has been touched on by some recent threads, but not addressed directly.so here goes.....just how important is sexual compatability in a marriage or other long term relationship?should it be important enough to dissolve an existing long term relationship?or should the partners be willing to compromise their level of desire in order to keep peace?.
my thoughts are that sex and intimacy in general are a big part of any relationship.they are necessary components in maintaining the communication, trust and happiness that is the foundation for a marriage,or other long term relationship.if sex and intimacy are absent from a relationship, eventually the rest of the relationship will erode away as well.. cowboy.

Seven and Stephen, thanks for your replies. You bring out some good points.
The situation I'm referring to is different than it came across in my post.I am referring to two healthy individuals who originally thought that they shared the same desires, only to find that a few years down the road, those desires have changed,
I think, though, that in this case-the change in intimacy is a result of other problems. One partner being unhappy with the other, chooses not to be intimate, either because they are upset with the other and thus have no desire,or as a way to hurt their partner(probably a combination of both).Either way,it becomes a habit to deny intimacy.Which in turn, leads the other partner to be dissatisfied, and unwilling to work on the original problem.Such things start out with something fairly insignificant, but they tend to snowball quickly.
So maybe I should change the title of my thread from sexual compatability to incompatability.......
Anyway,thanks for your replies.

persecution: sometime around late 1973 early 1974, when jws everywhere were in eager anticipation of armageddon breaking out, we also feared something else.
prior to armageddon, there would be the great tribulation, and just about this time we expected heavy persecution, so much so, that is was hard to help bible studies (newbies) to get over this fear.. service meeting part: during a service meeting, the elder giving the part was speaking about such persecution and of course all this was prefaced with our obedience to jehovah and his organization, doing all the works, meetings, etc.
.... ... as he spoke, there was suddenly loud banging on all of our entry-exit doors.
I was only around 9 at that time, and those talks about the persecution, torture and death that we would face soon are as vivid to me as if they were yesterday.I was absolutely terrified, still have those nightmares every once in a while.....

Little Johnny asked his sunday school teacher "Is God a man or a woman?"
The teacher replied "God is both,Johnny"
Then Johnny asked "Is god black or white?"
"God is both,Johnny" answered the teacher.
Johnny thought for a minute, then said "So God is Michael Jackson....."
