it reminded me of a couple of things that really bug me.. "momentarily" as in "thank you for holding.

Hortensia, one of my earliest posts was on grammar and spelling. It was supposed to be tongue in cheek and posted on the Bible Research forum.
It backfired terribly! I was attacked like an Arab in a synagogue. I hope others will not be so quick to criticise you. -

Remember the slide presentations
by Omegaman inhow many of you remember how special the meetings were when we found out they were going to show slides instead of a public talk.
when i was a kid i remember how excited i was..........i still remember some of the slides.
an old one from the 70's where a blind girl keeps asking her dad when she will be able to see this and that and the father would say " in the new system my dear".

We used to have a CO that would do slide shows regularly. May have been to lazy to prepare a talk. But that was a long time ago.
They cured my insomnia. -

"...bizaar bizzar bizar (pick one) "- LOL white dove, I wont pick any of them but your weird experience reminds of a day my wife and I were visiting a friend, (CO's daughter and husband), and completely out of the blue tells us how fascinating it was to squat over a mirror and study her girl bits!!

Inconvenient Watchtower Anagrams!
by professor inas you probably know, an anagram is made by taking all of the letters in a word or phrase and re-arranging them to spell something else.
sometimes it can be humourously approprite what you can come up with.
for instance, you can re-arrange the letters in.

Good reply CRR!
We have this discussion from time to time on JWD with everyone putting their humourous barbs in. But I read an interesting thing some time ago with an intriguing theory. It was asserted that the JFK government was of the opinion that soccer was a sport preferred by commies, commie sympathisers or anti-American regimes therefore it was deemed un-American to play it. It would also be embracing a South American culture and may be attractive to border jumpers.
However, the US have turned out a number of fine players around the world and have a formidable national side. -

Words Jehovers Witnesses Pronounce wrong...
by vomit injehover being the most obvious.
why was there a group in every hall that pronounced some words like a bad english accent.
also why is it pretty universal, i.e.

Had a brother who was a bit of a clown and really struggled with reading. He gave a #4 talk one night about David routing various kings that had upset Jehovah. The only problem is that we pronounce 'routing' as 'rooting'! There wasn't a dry eye in the hall!
More recently a Lebanese elder who speaks Arabic was horrified that we mispronounced the city of Ai as the Americans would do, i.e.' ay eye' when it should be 'ah ee'. Unfortunately all the recordings of these place names that have an 'i' in them get the American pronunciation. He wasn't happy.
'Unfortunately the British have been affected with this blight on the English language.'- we have the same tendency in NZ too gumb. (Including my darling wife!) -
