How many of you still have friends in the org?
by Nellie ina good friend of mine moved away 10 years ago.
needless to say, we lost touch over the years, but our family always spoke of them warmly and with with great affection.. last week, their daughter looked my son up on my-space and we reconnected.
they've left the organization, basically got fed up with the hypocrasy of the membership.

How Jehovah's Witnesses are told to treat disfellowshipped Relatives.
by jwfacts inin another thread it was mentioned the witnesses do not shun disfellowshipped relatives, so i thought i would copy a few articles that show the watchtower says quite definitely that they are to almost totally shun relatives, along with some examples that i know personally.
i personally know many that have not been contacted by their parents for years;my cousin was my best friend, and for a year before my disfellowshipping week after week i spent hours with her and her child, who spent 4 months of his first year in hospital.
on the day of my disfellowshipping i was informed that i am no longer welcome there, and i have not seen my second cousin for 6 months now.

After 26 years still being shunned by three daughters. Both parents died shunning me. Sounds real Christlike to me.

whe said they told her she was in a darkness or an outer circle something like that.
but at any rate she decided that she did not mind and never went back, she said she would live in her outer realm.

JonBenet Ramsey's Mother Dies

i was really shocked to see this headline this morning....patsy ramsey died this morning at the age of 49 of ovarian cancer....i always wondered what happened there; whether she and her husband actually killed their daughter, or if someone else broke into the house and murdered her.......while family members are always high on the list of suspects when something like this happens, i tend to think that john and patsy ramsey were falsely accused of murdering their daughter, as there appeared to be no motive.
anyone think they did kill her?

i never got baptized, by the end i hated everything about it.
the worst part was not being able to voice any opinions i had on the religion, not unless i wanted them to fall on deaf ears and be considered immoral.

Hi In Between and welcom to the board. I can appreciate your feelings as you have just recently faded. It's 26 years for me now since leaving (got booted) and the first while you think about the big A coming. then as time goes on and you clear the cobwebs from your mind you stop worrying about it and start living your life the way you want and should. As time goes on you will really begin to enjoy this new found freedom. Stay close by this sight and you will really learn the truth about their so called "truth".
Know the truth and the truth will set you free. All the best to you. You will find ten friends here for every one you have lost. By the way if you have lost them they never were really your friends.

Don't waste one minute even thinking about it. I have put up with this same crap for 25 years.
to try and communicate with them is futile. I have told my daughters that my door is always open if
they ever change their minds.

Congratulations Lady Lee I know what an ordeal it is to go through the system. My son just went through the same thing, as he suffers from meneres disease and has little equilibrium. He finally got it after getting our MPP involved. All the best to you, someday when in your area will let you know and visit you.

each year i get annoyed at the memorial when the speaker giving the talk always refers to this point and then says how the other sheep (the great crowd) "can benefit from this arrangement".
