Good stuff Effe and bless you for taking the time to put this all together. I've yet to look at the site in depth but you're right; toning down the presentation to eliminate a confrontational approach is the way to go. This subject is very emotive for me and in my experience and the experience of friends and family in the medical profession, there is serious confusion amongst the JW foot soldier ranks.

WTS says that JW children are better educated
by Lady Lee ini can't find the quote for this but i remember being told that jw children were way ahead of their classmates when it came to reading and spelling.
both my daughters knew how to read before they got to school.. i remember writing school reports and using the awake!

I think it depends on the individual child, nature and nurture, the educational level of the parents and the latter's willingness to teach and motivate. What's scandalous is the hostility towards higher education. The WTS has got a hell of a cheek to talk about education. They're in the business of harvesting mushrooms, ie keeping everyone in the dark and feeding them bullshit.

by lucifer inokay i found the official website for jw's and there was a place you could sign up for a free book study, so i did.
now i'm not sure if they will actually contact me once they see its me.
i'm doing this because when i da'd my mom wrote the letter and i didn't care/know about all their lies, i really hate that i wasted 8 years in this cult and want the elders in the congregation to explain big time!

The WTS and the name Jehovah.
by The Lone Ranger inthe wts makes a big thing that they are the only ones who use god's name jehovah, firstly its not true that they are the only ones, but it is true that they make a big thing about it more then any other religion and they seem proud of this and to their eyes it shows they are the true relgion.
but in another sense they have use the name so much that they have almost turned it into a trade mark, like they almost have a copyright to it, many in the world now when they hear the word 'jehovah" don't think of god but think of jehovahs' witness's..some crazy cult relgion.
so really they may have done more to dishonor gods name then those who refuse to use it at all.

They certainly have rebranded the name Jehovah to be synonomous with "the loonies who knock on doors".
I heard a Welsh choir sing "Guide me oh thou great Jehovah" the other day and it did make me queazy I must admit.
