does any other religion not celebrate birthdays?
by tijkmo ini was thinking about the newspaper article that said that jws stick to no blood transfusions because nobody else does it and so this marks them as different.
but there are other religions that don't allow any medical treatment so i'm guessing that would include blood medicine.. then i started to think about other things eg christmas - plenty of other religions don't celebrate christmas.
war - plenty of conscientious objectors.

I myself distinctly remember spreading a rumour for the Society itself: namely that the Battle of Armageddon was imminent. Some were slandered and libelled on the way - the clergy, the UN, gays, in fact the whole worldly bunch.

Haha very good. I'm left wondering if 'My dear, my penis is a mountain' is some kind of Croatian chat up line? I don't find it very easy to sit and watch England play football anymore, especially after the last world cup fiasco. I turned over after 10 minutes.These overpaid underachievers seem to be a product of the modern game. Wanting to just FREAKIN run away....I think I know why now...
by oompa inthe past year or so was year was really, really bad as i came to realize the waking up experience.
once i knew for sure wt was a sham, (although maybe sincere), i had this immediate feeling i would have to leave.....everything.
of course my wife was already going nuts from all my study, questions, doubts, letters to society, meetings with elders....but once i really knew and felt i would have to leave.... i did leave several times.

What I wanted to say Cognizant has said, summed up beautifully with that book title Wherever You Go, There You Are. You're a one eyed man in the land of the blind. Most importantly you have responsibilities and loved ones who'll be heartbroken and confused if you walk out on them. Running away will I'm sure only multiply your angst.
