Hi Terry
Only have had time to download Mystified so far. I really like it. It puts me in mind of TV shows or movies over here from the 60s and 70s, usually involving an amateur detective. I can hear your music being performed as the hero drives a convertible Bentley during the opening credits.

Has anyone communicated with the dead, and who do you think it was?
by jwfacts inhas anyone communicated with the dead, and who do you think it was?
what was your experience?.
do you believe it to be the spirit of a person, or a demon, or some other explaination such as a hoax?.

The JDubs put the idea into my head that "entities" could talk to you but were always malevolent beings disguising themselves as your deceased loved ones. I've been clairvoyant and clairaudient for as long as I can remember, but only when the JW programming had dissipated did I go along with it.
I've had countless experiences of "spirits". As far as the bible is concerned I believe that the people who received that advice were primitive and needed protecting from themselves. Dabbling with spirits without protection and precaution, eg ouija boards can bring on some very nasty experiences.
Good story btw Matt, and pretty common of course.

Sam had been a soldier at war for more than three years,
during which he had been in many battles and won many
decorations. He was finally discharged from service and
returned home to a wife and son whom he hadn't seen in almost
four years.
As he was walking up the path to his house, his young son
spotted him and yelled, "Mommy, Mommy, here comes Daddy, and
he's got a purple heart on!" to which the mother replied, "I
don't give a damn what color it is! Let him in, and you go
play at the Joneses' for a couple hours." -

The Smiths were unable to conceive children and decided to use a surrogate father to start their family. On the day the proxy father was to arrive, Mr. Smith kissed his wife goodbye and said, "Well, I'm off now. The man should be here soon."
Half an hour later, just by chance, a door-to-door baby photographer happened to ring the doorbell, hoping to make a sale.
"Good morning, Ma'am", he said, "I've come to...", "Oh, no need to explain," Mrs. Smith cut in, embarrassed, "I've been expecting you."
"Have you really?" said the photographer. "Well, that's good. Did you know babies are my specialty?"
"Well that's what my husband and I had hoped. Please come in and have a seat " After a moment she asked, blushing, "Well, where do we start?"
"Leave everything to me. I usually try two in the bathtub, one on the couch, and perhaps a couple on the bed. And sometimes the living room floor is fun. You can really spread out there."
"Bathtub, living room floor? No wonder it didn't work out for Harry and me!" "Well, Ma'am, none of us can guarantee a good one every time. But if we try several different positions and I shoot from six or seven angles, I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results." "My, that's a lot!" gasped Mrs. Smith. "Ma'am, in my line of work a man has to take his time. I'd love to be in and out in five minutes, but I'm sure you'd be disappointed with that." "Don't I know it," said Mrs. Smith quietly.
The photographer opened his briefcase and pulled out a portfolio of his baby pictures. "This was done on the top of a bus," he said. "Oh my God!" Mrs. Smith exclaimed, grasping at her throat.
"And these t wins turned out exceptionally well - when you consider her mother was so difficult to work with."
"She was difficult?" asked Mrs. Smith. "Yes, I'm afraid so. I finally had to take her to the park to get the job done right. People were crowding around four and five deep to get a good look."
"Four and five deep?" said Mrs. Smith, her eyes wide with amazement. "Yes", the photographer replied. "And for more than three hours, too”. The mother was constantly squealing and yelling - I could hardly concentrate, and when darkness approached I had to rush my shots. Finally, when the squirrels began nibbling on my equipment, I just had to pack it all in."
Mrs. Smith leaned forward. "Do you mean they actually chewed on your, um... equipment?"
"It's true, Ma'am, yes. Well, if you're ready, I'll set-up my tripod and we can get to work right away."
"Tripod?"
"Oh yes, Ma'am. I need to use a tripod to rest my Canon on. It's much
too heavy to be held in the hand very long."
With that, Mrs. Smith fainted.

Leaving without the internet.
by unique1 inmy husband mentioned to me this morning that he was glad i had this resource and some support to help me through this.
he also made the comment: can you imagine trying to leave without the internet?
that got me thinking, it is hard now, how much harder was it back then, before the internet.

I left pre-internet and escaped just before a planned dipping. I certainly haven't had the aggrevation that so many have had on here though, even though I've still got close JW relatives.
This is an interesting thread. The net is a great resource for true enquiring minds as well as a way of finding friends and support, and it does bring home how some of the people posting here were well and truly on their own with their brave decision.
I certainly would have healed a lot quicker if this forum had been around. I felt caught between a rock and a hard place for quite a few years and carried many "poisons" with me which the WTS had planted into my mind. Thank heavens for the internet. It gives me a kick seeing lurkers become newbies and moving away from the destructive false prophet/publisher.

Hello Everyone, My First Time
by butterfliorchids inhi, i just got registered and am looking forward to getting to know others who have escaped from the controlled environment that i was so faithful to for so long.
i hope to meet others with similar backgrounds.
i've been out about 4yrs and love the feel of it, but to be honest, as much as a definiate decision it was on my part, there was still a long time of adjustment.

I'm sure he'd be a member of this board.
No way he'd be a lurker.
He'd also be surprised at how the carpentry industry has moved on; what with all the safety equipment and power tools.
