he is asking for advice on what to do.
a lot of feelings came rushing in on me as i thought back to how my brother was unfairly treated by an elder body.

It's an atrocious system. I used to sit in my KH and ocassionally hear a disfellowshipping announcement. Once it happened to a guy I'd grown up with and his Mum just broke down in the Congregation uncontrollably. It was heartbreaking, and also the beginning of the end for me. I though to myself "THESE AREN'T CHRISTIANS"

i see that several of you use the term "apostate" or call themselves "apostates".
the problem i have with using the term is that you continue to follow wtbts thinking of "branding and labeling" people.
they charge that word with lots of negativity and label people that have different thoughts.
Its similar to other ostracized and marginalized groups "reclaiming" derogatory labels and using them as a form of empowerment. I am simply reclaiming the term "apostate" as an act of defiance and empowerment. We are the "Apostate Nation" yeah !!!
Haha exactly. Being called an apostate by a false prophet cancels the ludicrous word out anyway.

a friend of ours visits us for the weekend from time to time and he parks his car on the street in front of our house.

I think Australia is great and go there once a year on business and to see my best friend. I'm always based in Perth but try and spend most of the time in Freemantle. I'd like to take time out to see the whole country, and an ambition is to see Aus v England at the SCG. I've got loads of business links in Australia so I'm eligible to move but Mrs Clam can't stand heat and creepy crawlies. Therefore if we do move I think it will be NZ. But at least I'll be closer. I love England but it goes downhill by the week. I don't fancy being a senior citizen here, even though that's a long way off, LOL.

thought i'd share a little of mys story...well maybe alot of my story!.
Joe, I too have missed your earlier posts so I take this opportunity to welcome you to the human race.
Your story is so poignant, and like a lot of experiences I read on here it stirs up many emotions in me, including of course anger.
Anger not at the individual of course but at this malevolent cult which has taken varying sized bites from our lives.
I wish you all the best for the future and am proud to have you as a fellow board "brother".
