When I was a kid in primary school (USA), I was bullied by fellow JW-kids that hated me, because I was trying to follow at that time, what I though the Bible taught (actually, it was what the Watchtower taught, but I didn?t know the difference at the time!) Their fathers were of course, ?elders!?

Did Being a JW Make You a Bully VICTIM in SCHOOL?
by Smoldering Wick ini read this article in the montreal gazette that talked about a young witness kid being bullied in school.
it made me think back to all the times i was treated differently in school for being a jehovah's witness.
i grew up in a predominately mexican community and went to public school there from 1st-12th grade as a jw.

Faithless apostate ridiculers, disaster is sure to befall you - July 15 WT

Truthseeker!
I know first hand what you are saying, since my brother (an extremely self-righteous JW) no longer talks to me since he considers me an apostate because I disagree with "headquarters!" Anyway, I?m trying to ?move-on? in my life! I can?t be held hostage by a demon-inspired organization anymore! They promote HATE, and they feed-off HATE! Thank you for your thread, since I needed to excise some JW ?brain-puss? here!

?The word ?rapture? does not occur in the inspired Scriptures.?
I don't believe I've seen "Governing Body," or God's "Organizaion" either!

Comments You Will Not Hear at the 5-2-04 WT Study (3-15-04)
by blondie inare you an elder in the congregation?

"Referring to anointed Christians , Paul says that God has "adequately qualified us to be ministers of a new covenant."
I found this statement to be very revealing! How can the "other sheep" be "ministers of a new covenant" when they are not in it? More double-talk!

Russell's The Finished Mystery
by GenericMan inthe following has been copied from my personal copy of the finished mystery:.
even the republics will disappear in the fall of 1920.
in one short year, 1917-1918, the vast and complicated system of sectarianism reaches its zenith of power, only to be suddenly dashed into oblivion.

Hey "GenericMan," which addition is this coming from? I did a post several weeks ago, requesting information on the modifications between original and subsequent editions of Russell?s "Studies" books. If you know, please post somewhere.
Yes, as regards what you bring out, there's a crap-load of it! The Society neither denies it now nor embraces; like the UN-thing, they simply don?t comment!
Thanks for your post!

Complainers are irksome, TMS for April 2004
by jgnat ini am alternately enraged that the wts would again lay all responsiblility for their unhappiness back on the congregation, and encouraged that there are enough vocal members for headquarters to notice.
here are some questions back to the wts.the israealites waited 40 years for the promise.
how much longer must the "other sheep" follow you before they realize they are following the wrong shepherd?moses ran a gauntlet of miracles that pharoah could not match.

Jnat, the problem today is that the "manna" from the "slave class" (or rather, from hell) has a good measure of poison in it! Most DUBS just don?t realize it at this point; but perhaps many will in the future?we can only hope!
Therefore, no matter how hard they try and sanitize their religious views, they won?t be able to! Finally, regarding the BORG, there?s absolutely no room for any form of departure from the "prevailing winds" of Watchtower deception! You?re not even to entertain different thinking from the "brain(-dead) trust" of the GB and BORG.

Thanks Blondie, once again for your examination of the Watchtower!
However, I will suggest that, according to Ray Franz?s review of the scriptures you refer to, Paul?s going from house-to-house, was to conduct Bible studies with interested people (according to Ray?s argument). Now, whether this was the case, or rather, he was simply visiting already converted Christians, I don?t know. But we should be open to the possibility!
Anyway, thanks again for your weekly coverage!

Early Bible Students' understanding of 1914
by cyberguy incan someone explain or point to an explanation of the early bible students' varying explanation of 1914?
i understand that various "studies in the scriptures" were changed 3-4 times to accommodate changes in the 1914 explanation!
see http://www.nsbible.org/sits_v2/v2s4.htm, for an example of 1 of the explanations.

Thanks for those pointers! However, I recall reading somewhere that the year 1915 started to be promoted in addition to 1914, in the 2nd revision of Vol. II of Studies in the Scriptures, as my link above seems to indicate. Also, didn't the 3rd revision state that 1914 was the beginning of the Christ's manifestation, whereas the 1st/2nd release stated that 1914 would be the extreme limit of Christ fulfilling Dan. 2:44?

Hey, welcome "marie67!"
You're not alone! A number of "us" "X" or-near "X-JW?s" have questioned the Watchtower doctrines! You?re in the right place, though! If your mate is still an active JW, you?ll need to tread softly, and gently! Don?t push the issue. You and hubby, no doubt, got into the JW-cult over time, so don?t rush you hubby?s disconnect from the corportation(s). Give it time! Just my 2-cents!
Best regards!
