Well Leo, far be it from me to disagree with you. I just happen to think the NWT isn;t as bad as many make it out to be, and at least they do try do defend their scholasticism. But to me, it really again boils down to arguing angels fitting on the head of a pin. Call me a cop-out if you want, I've been researching JW/NWT stuph for 8 years and not only has it become tiresome but it's too hard for me to type a compete exegesis and opinion.

I think im depressed AGAIN!
by Es inthe last few months have been really tough for me there have been many problems with my fiances family and even with my fiance for that fact.
although things are fine now, im not happy i cant seem to get excited bout life.
im getting married in nov, going to be trying for baby no 2 going to fiji in feb....so you see i have lots to be excited bout but im just not.

Why did the WTBTS not sue Ray Franz?
by Gill inif ray franz had been lying in anything he said in both of his books, c of c and in search of christian freedom, surely the wtbts would have sued him.
why did they take no legal action against him?.
could it be that this legalistic corportion realised he had lied about nothing?

i was no longer required to sit in judgement of them because they didn't believe as i did.

I'd like to think I have more empathy and compassion for people since I quit the Witnesses. Literally, when not too long later my physical heart's mitral valve blewv out, my heart expanded to app. 35% its normal size. So my answer is yes. ;)

we were jws at the time, and the family on the first floor under us was studying.. the girl downstairs started hearing noises during the night and finally hearing steps up to the side of her bed.
she was so scared she hadn't slept in a while and was so tired.

Neat stuph. My dad used to tell me stories of exorcisms. Mirrors that would not break even when hit with a 12 lb. sledge. Books that would not burn, or when they would burn faint screams could be heard, perfume bottles that kept re-appearing even after being disposed of or tossed in the river. None of this stuph ever happens to me. :(

I'm inclined to agree with joel. Sometimes when I dream I try to realize I'm dreaming and manipulate the dreams. Sometimes it works. How can I do that if I'm "unconcious"? I also experience sleep paralysis sometimes and that is no fun, trust me.

I've been to the nastier parts of Rocha-cha-cha. Definitely nowhere I'd like to live. Syracuse never seemed that bad. The Buffalo ghetto is huge, this city simply needs a big bomb to go off so we can start over. I had become a little immune to it 'cause I used to have a lot of jobs in some of the worst parts of the city. But admittedly a few times I drove up to the house, took one look, and kept driving. Pizza delivery guys in these neighborhoods are regularly robbed or worse. I'd sleep in a park every night before getting an apartment on, say, Goodyear Ave.
