since a few months now, my mom goes to a baptist church here in town, and everybody entering the church yesterday received this slip of paper below.
this is an invitation to anyone who would be interested receiving a "course" about jw's, given by a member of the baptist church.. they will talk about the following topics:.

I'm glad you translated it. I didn't realize how rusty my french was. There was a word in two of the sentences that I didn't know and so I couldn't figure out what the sentence was saying.

The dream started with me and my fiance in the house. I hear a knock at the door and its the garbage man. When I open the door, he throws a cat in and the man RUNS back to his garbage truck and takes off. I tell my fiance and he doesn't seem very worried. He didn't say anything but he looked at me like I was nuts.
Then, the power goes out. Two 14 year-olds come in the power truck dressed in power company uniforms. They to go the garage to fix the power. There is no power box in the garage and I keep trying to tell Kevin that something is wrong because they are 14 years old and they can't possibly be fixing the electric problem from there. I wondered if they were scheming to steal from us. Kevin looks at me again like I'm nuts.
Then a man shows up at our BACK door. He asks Kevin if he could take him to the airport. Kevin gets his keys and motions for me to come on. I am frantic at this point and say "We can't take a stranger to the airport, there is a strange cat in our house and 14 year olds messing with our electricity!! How do you know that this man isn't trying to get us away from the house so the boys can steal from us?" Kevin looks at me again like I'm nuts and motions for me to come on and get in the car ..........
Alarm clock goes off.

i won't let them speak at all, i am going to hold up my hand and tell them to let me have my say.
i am planning to say the following, and i'm trying to keep it very simple and to the point:.
I agree with some of the others about being more calm about it.
"I am sorry but you really hurt me by not noticing that I quit going 15 years ago. You only now notice when its too late. I believe its time for you to leave. Please do not come here again." And shut the door slowly, looking them in the eye while it shuts.

it just seems that occasionally it hurts me more than others.. for those of you who's family are all jws: it was hard to leave all of your family behind but for whatever reason, it made you happier to go than to stay.
after you left, did you ever get scared that those in your new life would abaondon you as well?
True, but at this point "everyone in my life" is one person. I've been out only a year and although I have a friends that I do things with, I do not have very many close friends yet. It just takes time to build that kind of relationship. I have a close relationship with my fiance but not with anyone else.

I'm ok with friends coming and going. What I don't like the thought of is those people (like your parents were supposed to be) who are there for a lifetime leaving me. I want to spend my whole life with my fiance and not just a year or two.
just wondering if anybody out there still get the mags and is able to leak them to the internet.
just the other day i realized that i haven't looked at a new watchtower or awake in months.
i think it's pretty funny that on this board elders letters and things from hq get leaked, but the literature doesn't seem to make its way around.
Wouldn't this make the WTS sue for copywright infrindgement again?
That is kinda funny though because if I was writing a publication and giving it away for "free", I would be happy for someone to scan it and then have it availalbe online since I am non-profit. I know the WTS does not think like this!

I've only been out a year. I think this problem will get better as I establish more long time friends and have children and get married. Right now I'm still scared. I don't want to start over again.

ok..it's been decided..after mega studies it has been confirmed that the atkins diet works faster and is the best for women.
it lowers blood pressure and cholesterol and has been a factor in regulating blood sugar levels.
i'm not sure about for men but i do know both men and women who have used this diet and it worked really well for them.
I'm on the 3 hour diet. Its awesome to me. You eat 6 times a day. Its different for your weight but if you are 150-200, you eat 400 calories for breakfast, 100 for a snack, 400 for lunch, 100 snack, 400 dinner, and 50 snack. You eat no later than an hour after you wake up and then eat every 4 hours after. Each meal is balanced with 3 oz of meat (or beans/tofu... vegetarian options), a half of a plate of veggies and a rubbix cube size of carbs. Its really easy because there food lists in the book.. suggestions at a lot of popular food chains for meals, and also recipies.
It makes me feel great and you loose weight at a steady 2 lbs a week. You end up getting used to the diet and not tired of it. It is like a lifestyle change and a pretty easy one. (compared to most diets) If I am about to die for french fries, I can always put them in a meal assuming I don't eat too many to end up over 400 calories. I also get to eat rice crispie treats between meals! :)
