  i see this site gets thousands of postings every day .. from literally thousands of members, mostly ex-dubs, from all over the world.. rather than simply go on moaning and whinging about the big nasty org why don't you all put your efforts into something positive ... do something.. ok - the org is evil .. but it exists ... and simply whining on about it doesn't change that.

  with your efforts directed at something positive, you could do wonders for .

  .for anything you choose.. hundreds of real charities could do with your support - to help the really needy .

  We do DO something!
  
  Other than being regular people behind the computer screen, there is a large group of people here with really interesting things to say. We all achieve things without actually being together.
  
  For example the site (made up of the people) help with research, answering questions, posting cool findings e.t.c
  
  Severus started something recently with the Memorial cheques. A great campaign.
  
  Dannyhazzard is always up to something and is active in showing the society up for what they really are.
  
  Sickoflies is currently going through JC meetings e.t.c and shares all that happens here so that people can see what is actually going on behind closed doors and just how unchristian the witnesses are.
  
  RichieRich, a great lad. A good example for people to follow. His story alone might be enough to make someone 'think'.
  
  Personally, i think this site isn't about moaning. NO. its about community and being honest and frank. No one here will hide from saying what they want to say. They've spent (and me) too long in an organization that seeks to silence everyone and anyone.
  
  Obviously your allowed your opinions.

  i have my mum coming home tomorrow and stepdad.

  got some choices to make, so here they are.

  speak to mum about jw's at some point, back to 607, un scandal, lack of love and maybe more... .

  Firstly lol, no i won't bring these up tomorrow.
  
  Secondly i am aware that things are viewed as an attack and then apostate e.t.c and you find yourself out on your ear. fortunately i got quite far with stepdad who now has my e-mails on his PC (i was looking and found them) and i want to extend this further.
  
  They started a lot of the stuff too, for example mum was on about church and then i proved her wrong on points...she told me "go check the British Musuem website" and "go get any encyclopedia" thinking they'd agree with her and they didn't!!!
  
  it shocked her and stepdad and therefore giving me ground to work with.

  Speak to stepdad about JW's instead, UN Scandal would be the biggest impact, then the 607 e.t.c
  
  Stepdad would possibly say its apostate (he's said that he doesn't tolerate my Apostate views in his house) but to show him from the UN site itself, what can he say?
  
  Mum said that the UN are all in satans control, therefore its satan using that against them (how important can you think the Society are?? lol) and then she tried saying clearly some apostates had 'hacked' the site.
  
  your thoughts if you would.

  tired of not existing

  ok, sorry about this but i'm in tears and just need to absolutely vent..... i am so tired of being invisible, of not existing to people that have said they love me, to people who i've known for years.. i had to find out from the stupid newspaper that a family friend died from her battle w/ breast cancer.. just this week i finally get in contact with someone who had stopped going to the meetings 10 years ago and now that she's back... guess what ... that's right ... i hate this religion.

  yes i am depressed today.

  everything a person has built in a life time is just ripped away.

  I got DF'D yesterday

  i got a call from my wife today.

  she said they made the announcement at the hall yesterday that i got df'd.

  they said that i am no longer a jehovah's witness.

  i think it's high time i do some sort of an introduction.

  i've been lurking on here for the past 5 months or so, and you guys have helped out a lot.

  why its not the truth

  some points to considernot allowed to look at sites that disagree with the society (you can label this with the word apostate, which scares you away from it)not to read books that disagree with the society (you can label this with the word apostate, which scares you away from it)not meant to watch video's or films that disagree with the society (you can label this with the word apostate, which scares you away from it)not allowed to associate with folks who are 'bad association' incase they spoil your useful habits.

  thing is, it takes that scripture way too far and affects a lot of relationships with family/friends...could this be incase they raise a good point that makes you doubt the society?

  ?christmas/birthdays, i know there are 'other' reasons not to do these but could you listen to someone who might make you doubt the society?disfellowshipping apostates...maybe just maybe this means ones who are kicked out can't help anyone and show them the truth.. if the society is so strong why this crazy control?

  Then add the lack of christian qualities and how they do things that aren't in the bible, they can say they make educated guesses but none of its anywhere in the bible. including not taking bread and wine unless your annointed.
