  if the exile wasn't to be 70 years, how is jeremiah 29:10 explained by pro-587 folks?.

  10 "for this is what jehovah has said, in accord with the fulfilling of seventy years at babylon i shall turn my attention to you people, and i will establish toward you my good word in bringing you back to this place.. .

  also, if it truly was a 70-year period of servitude, and not exile, when was this 70 years served by other nations?.

  i told mum yesterday that i'd carry on my so called 'anti jw' speak when she is an old lady of 80 years old.

  .

  her words "i dont think this system will last that long".. i have a long time to wait but i shall be proven right!.

  i got 85% in my first assignment - arts and humanities and i enjoyed every minute of it.. the best part is that my jdub hubby and i have new enjoyable interests in common as we have found that we both like visitng art galleries and other leisure activities.. thank you all for helping me get here so quickly.

  of course that isn't to say that everything is all plain sailing (far from it) but its nice to feel out of the woods!.

  i do.. i come here everyday hoping to see someone new that i know.

  maybe family, possibly friends.. hell, i wouldn't mind seeing people i wasn't all that close with.. i hope one day i'll come here and find my sisters or my nephews or nieces or cousins ..... or some good friends that i miss...... .

  It happened to me once and i was a happy person. Someone posted on my wedding photo's topic and said they remembered me etc and how it brought tears to their eyes to see where i've got to, that post brought some tears to my eyes also. I think it was Ironman or something, cant remember. Anyway they were still in at the time, but they know my stepdad and mum! I was chuffed to bits.

  i know many of you probably never saw my post a few days ago inviting everyone to the world religions conference where i was a key note speaker.

  i'd like to send a big thank you to kwintestal and mincan for showing and giving their support, surfice to say it made quite an impression that the three people standing up and defending atheism at the event were all ex-witnesses.

  the theme for the event was on the topic of morals and modesty.

  interesting question i think.. the society says we "search out deserving ones" and "those rightly disposed", those who have "the right heart condition" - did you ever feel this was you when you accepted the truth?

  did you feel that jehovah thought you as a deserving one?.

  i dont know about when i joined because i was a child, but i remember beating myself up over everything when i was considering leaving, thinking somehow the problem was with me when the truth was, that i was 'getting better'

  this is a growing epidemic or a shrinking one depending on how you look at it, the kingdom halls are worth money, the congregations are getting smaller and the dubs are none the wiser and believe it somehow indicates the end of the system is nearer than ever...spooky.

  My mum would simply dismiss it as apostate before i even got chance to show her, she wouldnt see anything as credible unless the governing body issued it - pretty stupid if you ask me, and sad since all i want is the best for her. Witnesses talk of discovering the truth and looking at the facts properly, mum claims she has done but how can she if she wont look at what i present?
