wow, something different eh?
i dunno where he got that from but i do know a lot of jw's like to work things out for themselves and try their own ideas then after say "oh enough speculation, the society says we mustn't"
back in the day i remeber the edler who studied with me was trying to make everything much more exciting that it actually was.
all kinds of crazy stories and theories about god where told, but none sticks in my mind deeper than this load of crazy paste .
the elder was talking about how time travel is actually possible with god (wtf?

my sister and her husband finally told a elder friend of theirs why they have been absent from the meetings for all these months.
) our family has chosen to only use the 607 issue when dealing with the elders.
because it seems to be the only issue they cannot answer!
well yeah, good points made and a BRILLIANT reaction. Had the same discussions with my folks and more recently a witness friend of hers. Its a great one to use and gets you quite far.
Can i point out some scriptures YOU can use for this?
Jeremiah 25 - Verse 9 says surrounding nations - that would say more than just jerusalem involved in this 70 year period.
Verse 12 says that the 70 years would end when the babylonian king was punished. When was the babylonian king removed? 539.
539 + 70 = 609
The 70 years doesn't apply to and from the destruction of jerusalem, but from 609 when the Assyrians were defeated by the Babylonians. The tablet dating for this could be from 616-609 as its not 100% clear but in support for the bible you can use that!
i hate both terms to describe ex-jws.
i know most people say "apostate" when they refer to an ex-jw that is an opposer now but some will say "so and so" is an "evil slave" now.
evil slave sounds so "boogie man under the bed" that i just laugh when i hear the term.
i am free.
have you ever been in such despair that the thought crossed your mind?
did being a jehovah's witness have anything to do with your mindset?
i have felt that bad and because of the jw's, i was often sat there with a knife on my wrists and the only reason i had to not do it was because i knew it would hurt my mum.
crunch time i mean...er should i go downstairs and get something to eat since i am so hungry at 3:12am or stay in bed warm on laptop
could this topic be moved out of bible lol, that was an accident!
Your not having any!!
how does a witness answer this?
if we are indeed living "deep into the time of the end", and if jehovah is going to speed things up, then why are the numbers of the organization getting lower with each passing year?
with the chart below showing their dwindling and embarassing figures, it's one of two things: either this organization does not have god's blessing, or the end must still be a long way off...........i've quoted a couple of captions from the literature......hmmm..... seems to me like they fit the description of babylon the great a little bit better than an organization that is being run by jesus christ.. *** .
Of course we can.......I've got ALL their literature back to the 1940s.......yearbooks, bound volumes, brochures, tracts, pamphlets, etc. hell, I've even got two of Charles Russell's Studies in the Scriptures and I think I've also got an original Golden Age magazine somewhere too.........I inherited them from my grandmother who started going to the Kingdumb Hell in 1935 and she never threw anything away. All the statistics are there in black and white, although it's a pain in the ass to have to look them all up. I've got their CD-ROM but it's more difficult to find the info on them because the graphs and charts don't show up.No dont go getting it all mary, i was just saying if they start denying it grab their books, it hurts for them to be proved wrong from their own stuff!
i remember a few district conventions, and some parts in the witness history books, that had these leaders of the witnesses claiming to put the world on notice.
what a joke, did they actually have some warped idea that government leaders were actually paying attention to them and shaking in their boots.
i would doubt that their words even made it beyond the neighborhoods we preached in and unless the mayor of that small town was behind one of those doors, it was unlikely that anyone in government cared or listened.
ah damn
celebrating a birthday with who!
jehovah's witnesses participated in celebrating the birthday of world health day 2000, with representatives of the world health organization, ngos, and other high ranking government officials.
what is world health day?
july 2005 i saw in the pdf

what would happen if someone were to bring that to the United Nations attention?

Your not having my dollar!!!!
