it might have a role in the king of the north and the king of the south or it might have a direct impact on how the un views religion and might affect its views.of course the un being the 8th king .and knowing what the uns role is in conjunction with the destruction of false religion

Could you tell me how the WTS is like, Catholics, Mormons, etc....?
by whyizit incould you tell me in what ways the wts is much like those that they believe are wrong?
(example: mormons believe jesus is an angel; wt belive jesus is michael the archangel.
) i'm interested in seeing comparisons to catholic, mormon, moonies, etc...whatever.
-
ezra
you cany compare us to catholics they are so off the mark its ridulous as far as mormons their door to door ministry is for a finite time and it is funded by the normon church witnesses preach from time they make a dedication to the time they die according to circumstances.we believe jesus return constitutes his turning his attention to mans affairs and directly governing those that are obedient through the channel of the governing body and through the scriptures.we do not want to be associated with any professed christian religion because they fall short of adhering to gods standards as set out in the bible

Cross of Stake?
by jojochan ini was watching " the passion of the christ" with my cousin the other day, and while she did reply that it was a snuff film to say the least, she was moved by the film.
one thing of course she and i split on was the issue of cross or stake, which has been disscussed on this board many times.
but not to start a debated because i was intoxicated off schnapps i simply replied," what if i showed you from the nwt somthing to think about?

the hebrew word for hands involved not only the hands but the wrists ,if jesus was impaled in his palms the nails would have stripped through and he wouldve fallen, the romans made a practice during impalements to put the nails through the wrists between the two bones to prevent stripping to hold up the people being impaled .the word referring to what jesus was impaled on in greek was stauros =torture stake

jehovah imposed a death sentence on adam and eve and satan by expelling adam and eve he cut them off from the tree of life and forbidden to get to it.the tree of life was jehovahs provision of everlasting life, throughout bible history those who have been executed by god were judged and when judged by god ,it means permanent death numbers chpt.16.korah and those who sided with them were judged and put to death by jehovah. john 16;11 the ruler being satan and pointing to his future we know that jehovahs judgement is final and when destroyed satan will be destroyed permanently.

Wicked angel was driving the UFO the wise men saw
by Franz inif an angel was in a ufo that led the astrologers (the 'wise men') to the young child jesus in that house (mt 2:11), then it must have been a wicked angel.
we have these pagan astrologers (greek, "magoi"; see de 18:10-12 and isa 47:13,14) traveling along and they see a "star".
(how convenient; astrologers.....stars.....) does it lead them directly to jesus?
-
ezra
your right, knowing that herod wanted jesus dead, god wouldnt have pointed out his location, remember the astrologers were involved in divination deut;18;10-12 ,they still appreciated jesus' position .they studied scripture and were aware of prophecy but also got much instruction from using stars to plot their lives.they were later instructed by gods angel not to return to herod to inform him of jesus' whereabouts.god won.

Married to it JW
by mydiscounts inmy personal experience is being married to a man who grew up in a very bad situation at home with jw being very strict.
this has damaged his mind to a point where he believes what ever they tell him, he is the kind of guy who will not got to a meeting for a year and his first day back his hand is up in a watchtower study.. he then wants to try that s^%$ on my children and then we are in a fight, i am afraid i am just married too it being that i lost my dad early in life not to death but he just left and i grew up with out him in my life i feel bad spliting up.
my youngest son tells me all the time how much he hates his father, i hate to say deep inside if i were him i would also hate my husband.

i dont know your husband but in the truth jehovah considers him head of household.why would you marry someone whose faith you did not agree with.you had to have known that this would cause marital problems, when he does go back to meetings it invigorates him and he probably wants to make changes within the household.these things need to be handled delicately by him.another problem is by making this post [i know your not going to like this]but you are showing severe disrespect to the person that you made marriage vows to.the problem with the world is they think that everything has to be their way no compromise you cant do that and be successful its not possible.you need to seriously evaluate why you married him and what you expect out of your marriage and what efforts seem reasonable to you.this is not a game .this is the real world .we allow everyones views shape what we think marriage should be.you have a responibility to your children to be peaceful about settling your disagreements, and it is extremely damaging to children to involve them in adult affairs, leave your children out of it and handle this in a more appropriate fashion for your childrens sake.it doesnt sound like your husband is going to give up his belief and he probably wont perhaps you could ask him to open the bible and share with you the counsel regarding families,in that counsel he also has a responsibility toward god to treat you with respect and to listen to your feelings on the matter collosians 3;18
