OK cam I'll have a go .Jesus once said to his disciples that they would always have the poor amongst them which shows no special attention to people from him. After he died a problem came up about the widows missing out and they realised this was not good ,but they still suffered till HUMAN intervention stepped in and not Jesus. We seem to just have to get on with life no matter what crap comes our way whether we are religious or not .What about the misery every day of 30,000 kids that die of starvation and disease in poor countries ,gentle Jesus is not helping them. And yet countless people come forward and say Jesus has helped them with this or that and yet their fat bloated bodies and minds live in countries rich in comparison to the poor ones where the kids die every day ,and every day. I had them flourish this rubbish at me when I'd go witnessing ,that they had prayed to gentle Jesus and he paid the electricity bill etc. I don't know of one account of divine protection for individuals in the bible that could be recociled with what I've said .Sorry about the formatting I'm using Firefox.

Born Agains:- What do you beileve?

i must admit i don't know all the ins & outs of being one, but i did pop into a church and did a stint for 3 months before i left as their doctrine become clearer to me - i couldn't stay.. i'm not sure if these beliefs are held all around the earth by bas so clarification would be welcome:.
1. paying tithe: i was told by the leaders of the church that this is a mandate from god/the bible and it plays a key roll in doing the will of the lord.. 2. once saved...always saved & a constant laying your sins at the foot of the cross.. 3. the belief in the rapture.

It is confusing with so many different churches. Some things are commonly believed amongst BA's but they all seem to differ to some degree ,which leaves me wondering what God thinks of that. But as for me at present it is a matter of "same turd ,different color".

XJW4 - very astute of you ,it seemed that all the ones I met who confessed to being born again were in fact from Pentecostal churches ,there seemed to be a prolific amount of them around here and I guess we tarred all born agains with the same brush because of this ,the almost aggressive way they would point out that they were born again as if they were superior. But I guess all those of the churches really claimed to be born again because of their heavenly hope ,though they did'nt make a big song and dance about it like the Pentecostals used to.
