  I'm back!!!!

  hello again from sunny north carolina!!!.

  our state lotto started today, and i won 15 dollars, and only bought 1 $1 card.

  so whoop whoop for gambling.. i was in miami florida last week for the photoshop world conference, but i also got to tour the everglades, where i took some beautiful pictures.

  JW's and sickness

  did it seem to you that a lot of congregations had more than the usual sick people in them when compared with their worldly neighbors?.

  could it be a common problem among jw's?.

  do you think it may be mold?.

  That's right, Lady Lee. The only way I could get out of meetings was to play sick. When I got older, my parents would leave me home by myself, and I'd turn on the TV as soon as they left for the meeting. That was sweet!

  I think there are two categories: The truly sick, because they are so run down and the Hall is poorly ventilated, so viruses spread, and:

  The pretend sick, to catch their breath from the whirlwind of Kinkdumb activities. Either way, it was almost trendy to be suffering from the latest thing "going around."

  after years of silence (and hence peace) someone from my jw days has decided to track me down in the hopes of "catching up.

  " now she knows where my new house is, and more than likely my phone number as well (makes me grateful for caller id.

  ) this jw did something to me when i was in high school that i will never, ever forgive her for; what's more, i don't even like her as a person - she's overbearing, egotistical and can be smothering at times.

  The "Memorial" Is A Perversion Of Christ's Intent

  it is remarkable how 6 million witnesses ( or is it 'witlesses'?

  ) can go thru the yearly ritual of the "memorial" without any of their.

  brain cells moving them towards understanding what a sad, unchristian perversion it is.. what part of "do this in remembrance of me" is so hard to understand?

  Until reading the posts here, about the Memorial, I had never realized or thought about it, how I was actually rejecting Jesus gift to me all those years as a Witless. I feel so ashamed, but was only doing as I was taught, from a child onwards, to do, that is, pass the emblems on to the person next to me.

  I feel that Jesus understands I didn't mean to reject his sacrifice. This year, the first year that I realize I am to keep doing this, in remembrance of him, I plan to say a prayer and eat a symbolic wafer and drink a sip of wine.

  I will not set foot in a Kinkdumb hall, and I'm not comfortable in a church, but I want to do something to do as Jesus asked us to. I still feel badly about all those years...

  Well said, Greendawn! That menial job thing is fine and dandy until something goes wrong for you financially. Then you are on your own with no savings to fall back on!

  my boyfriend and i are gettin pretty serious.

  before we met he was never in a committed relationship and believed marriage was just a piece of paper that helped during tax season.

  then he meets me and suddenly i catch him online looking at rings.

  Wow, how well do you really know this guy? He is ten years older than you and wants to move in together in less than a month? What if unpleasant aspects of his personality showed up after you are cut off from your family and you have nowhere to go? Please be careful!

  while i was in walmart, picking up my meds from the pharmacy, i happened to run into some witnesses.

  they were waiting for their meds.

  my youngest daughter was standing a few feet back, so i yelled to her "come on over here and stand in the apostate line".
